We need Bill O'reilly to jump in on this thread. A whole lot of spin going on!

Why is that? Because we already have 2 big Junior WRs in Hunter and Rodgers, Arnett as a sophmore and 2 4* WRs in Croom and Bowles? Sounds to me as if with or without Patterson Tennessee is solid at the WR position. As far as you go, and the commit I highlighted, I would imagine it's kinda like looking in the mirror hearing all of the homerism coming from your own fanbase.

No spin going on here, just a dose of reality. If Patterson ends up at Georgia it's because he couldnt get into UT because of grades or the coaches took better players and Patterson lost his spot. Otherwise all Vol.

so you're saying there's a big difference in getting a football player admitted to UT and Georgia? Ok

CP has some talent... he looks to be special, but with the wr we have committed and other glaring needs on this team... I don't see Dooley holding a spot for him, based on a maybe... not saying that is what you meant by maybe

If he holds a spot for CP he believes we get him

Lots of maybes. Maybe he qualifies, maybe he picks UT, maybe CDD holds a spot open.

Having said all that, I agree with your last statement. He would be a great addition to this class.

I have a feeling the coaching staff may be putting these rumors out to pressure CP into committing soon.

Just a thought.

"It was my second time at Georgia and I really liked it. The visit was good and I just got to be around the players and coaches more this time," said Cordarrelle Patterson.
"My host was Bacarris Rambo and he was cool. He told me a lot about Georgia, how things are run there, and why it is the place for me to be. We had some good conversations and it was cool to be around him and the other players."

Rambo told him about being a Bulldog, but wide receivers coach Tony Ball showed him.

"I spent more time around Coach Ball than probably anyone else when I was at Georgia. He has been recruiting me for a long time and he really broke things down for me. He showed me how I would fit into their offense, how I could help them at receiver, and why they needed me.

"Coach Ball thinks I am more of a veteran guy that has been getting a lot of balls thrown to me, so he thinks my experience could really help them. I really like Coach Ball and he is a guy I could play for."

Mark Richt just echoed what Ball said.

"I had a good talk with Coach Richt and a lot of what Coach Ball said, he said as well. He let me know that they liked me a lot, that they want me at Georgia, and things like that. It was cool to hear that from him."

Georgia is still one of the schools in the running for this elite wide receiver out of the Junior College ranks.

The 6-foot-4, 200 pound play-maker is not ready to eliminate anyone or to name a leader, but UGA showed him what he wanted to see.

"It is really the same for me still," he said. "If a school is looking at me, then I will still look at them. Georgia, Tennessee, Auburn, and a few others are still out there.

"Georgia showed me a lot, I like what they do there, and I know now I could fit in there."

Patterson said he will graduate from Hutchinson Community College in the spring and that he will likely make his decision around Signing Day.

The fact that he did not name them as a leader after the visit seems like a good thing for Tennessee

as well as the fact we were among the first mentioned after Georgia (where he had just visited)

That's an interesting take. Maybe they have told him spots were running out and it wasn't getting thru so they turned to the rumor mill to get their point across. Unlikely but I guess its possible.
