Guys, it doesn't matter how we do next year. These three have been reported as saying they're three and done. If they are projected as decent draft spots after next year, they're going to leave.

If Dooley talks any of them into staying after next year, that will be his best recruiting job. I'm not sure he'd even try.

If they all play good enough to be three and done next year, then we will win the SEC East... Not saying it won't happen, but Hunter has to comeback after tearing an ACL. Rogers better get his act together or he might be 2 and done. Bray has all the tools to be a great quarterback, but we will have to see if the space between his ears grows in both maturity and knowledge in the offseason. People crowned him the next Peyton, but what sets Peyton apart is his drive to not be out worked. Peyton spent his time studying film and throwing. Bray is out smoking and drinking. Until he makes a commitment to be the best, he will not be some shoe-in first or second rounder.

You are crazy to think Peyton wasn't out drinking and partying with the best of them.

I remember someone telling me how upset Peyton was one night because he couldn't get into a bar. "Do you know who I am? I'm effing Peyton Manning!"

Everyone keeps saying Bray and Co. are going to go pro after next year...can we at least win 9 games in a season before we declare these guys 1st rounders?

Tyler still has a lot to do along with Hunter, both have a lot of talent but no one has seen the full picture on how good either will be.

Rodgers had a stellar season, he's not a finished product but after another productive year he could be ready.

This may be the case, but the rookie salary cap will put a damper on situations just like this. Lets take T.Bray for example...he would have to improve leaps and bounds to crack the 1st round after his 3rd year. And the money just isn't what it once was for rookies. I saw where B. Gabbert went in the first round last year and his contract is 12M guaranteed for 3/4 yrs. Late first round/early second round qb's will stay in school much more than they have in the past. imo

preseason draft projections don't really mean anything.

I was at UT the same time as Peyton and he was always out on the strip in bars even before he was 21.

After all three visits, Patterson appears no closer to a decision than when he started.

"I don't have a top group. I'm not sure what separates them," Patterson said.
Last weekend saw Patterson trek to Athens to take part in Georgia's end of the year awards banquet, telling UGASports.com he felt comfortable during his visit.

"It was good. Everything went fluid and nice," said Patterson. "It was pretty nice getting to see all the players get their awards and everything like that, so it was fun just being there.
So what's next for Patterson?

"Taking more visits," he said.

With three down, Patterson is allotted two more official visits. Patterson mentioned LSU as a school still in consideration, but has yet to set a date for any additional visits.

Also said he will decide at the last min. IMO,this guy is getting further and further from a priority. If he wants to come I would love to have him, but I wont be killed if we dont. I mean kid may not even be able to get into a school.

Well then, it's official! You do realize not one of them is looking at being drafted in the 1st 2 rounds, right? Kinda doubt someone would give them that bad of advice.

At the end of the season kids can ask the NFL for a draft projection. They'll all three most likely ask for this projection and they'll most likely go pro. They themselves have stated they'll be three and done.

Believe what you'd like for whatever reason you'd like. We'll find out one way or another after next season.

This guy reminds me of the highly touted juco receiver the Kiff got committed and he left before ever playing. What happened to that dude?

We played against him this year. His name is Kenbrell Tompkins[sp?] and he plays for Cincinnatti. Patterson is even more gifted than KT.

You have mentioned a couple times that they said they were 3 and done. Do you have any quote for that statement? It's not that I don't believe you I would just like to see this quote.

I completely agree. We've basically got 4-5 spots left, with a lot of good players left on the board that we wouldn't pass on. Not to mention we already have an excellent group of WR committed in this class.

If Patterson wants to be a Vol, waiting until the last minute is not what he needs to do. I don't think the staff will save a spot all the way until NSD for him.

Was Cincinnati's leading receiver this year. Still has another year of eligibility. Very good player but I agree with others Patterson is even better than he is. Elite. No way this staff cools on him or backs off him. He's the type of player they desperately need to start competing with the Top 5 schools in this league.

I'm leaning this way right now. I know we have Hunter and Rogers, but this guy is really, really good. IMO, he doesn't make-or-break this class, but he is undoubtedly a take. I don't see the staff putting so much effort into a player for so long and then just drop interest (unless his grades really are that bad). I think the staff should wait for a player like this. His stats this year don't lie.
