If you watch the youtube video of this kid from his 2010-2011 highlights (It's 5:42 long)..what I like seeing is the play at about the 2 minute mark. He breaks free on a run...and as he gets close to the goal line....he actually slows down and turns toward the chasing defender so he can deliver a blow as he goes into the endzone. This kid is tough.
We all may like that but RBs won't last long doing that.

I would agree if talking about the Brian Kimbrows of the world. Some backs just like contact and feed off it. I can say in his whole 6 minute video...I don't think he ran out of bounds once. IMO..these type of backs have ALOT of value when your up by 7, have the ball with 6 minutes to go in the 4th quarter. JMO
I don't have the stats right off the top of my head but the lighter backs tend to have slightly longer careers in the NFL since they don't seek out contact and when they do its glancing hits. Seems everyone thinks the bigger backs won't wear out as quick but I think that's the case. Just my humble opinions.

If he does that while wearing orange I guarantee you CDD will put his ass on the bench.

Hey, Ingram (Bama's Heisman RB) was in the 4.6 range at the combine and pro day...and he was only 5'9" 215lbs. Arian Foster is also in the 4.6 range. Decent speed, but was never confused as a homerun threat at RB.Because we are in the age where combine numbers mean everything rather than production. Sorry but when a kid is 230 and runs a 4.6 electric time, that is damn amazing.
Tomlinsin is a great back, but he's not as big nor nearly the bruiser type RB that these guys were.
Go check out Arkansas's backfield. The top 3 RB's on their depth chart are 230-245 lbs.So there are other starting TB's in the SEC that are 6'2, 235? I didn't know there were so many. Who are they? I don't recall any starting TB that size that runs over a 4.5 in a few years. I could be wrong, but don't want to google it.
