The kid may run a 4.5 on concrete and with no pads on i ran a 4.5 without pads in college when we put on the pads it dropped to 4.63. So it makes a difference i see a good 4th down back and short yardage but not a every down back right now will have to get footwork and speed that all comes with time and hard work until then he is a special teams and goal line short yardage back. We will let the coaches decide they will anyway so we will have to wait till spring to see what he can do
Just Being an EE is overrated.
Freshman who are special enough to play early, would have gotten in the line up regardless.
It helps with playbook and the transition in the fall but its does not add up to a huge transformation from avg to freshman starter.

I've been with the program "coaching" 3 years....don't recall Elder recently, Don't yall play Alter every year, they're our backyard rivals....great program and coaching.
You work for ONN?
It used to be for sure. But Canton area football has fallen off dramatically in recent years. They'll still typically put teams into the state semi's because they are in the weakest region in the state (Combined with Toledo schools). But Canton McKinley's program has really fallen off as has Massillon's. Glen Oak and Hoover will have a solid team from time to time but they all struggle to compete with the teams from the other regions.
I lived in eastern Ohio for 25 years. Do you know anything about Steubenville Big Red? I know they played Massillon and McKinley back in the day. TIA
I think we'll see a drastic improvement in our run game this year with the addition of CJG. The backs we have and the ones that are coming in aren't terrible backs and I really think CJG will improve our run game that much.
