I thought he was a bit bigger up top but he's got nice size. Looking forward to seeing what he does when the pads start popping.

This guy i called the sleeper for this last class brought in. I really feel like this kid wants to run over people. He seems more suited to just run downhill at you, looking for the hit. I like that in a back.

I trust Montrell's evals. with the Ohio guys. He was definitely suspect over Hill as an SEC RB. I'm holding out hope, though.

Yeah we look a lot better at RB than in years past. The competition in the backfield is a lot better now. I like the athletes a lot more than the past couple of years.

Definitely glad that he's a VOL.
It's behind us now and makes no difference but curious, with those stats, his size and speed why was he rated (only) 3* by Rivals and Scout and a ridiculous 2* by ESPN? Perplexing. Was it competition / playing level?? Lack of exposure?? Thoughts???

I read that too. People have to remember Bourque will be here come August. As will little Q.Watson. Then you'll have to remember Pig Howard and his ability. Young, Hill, and Tom Smith better get on their horses. Somebody will be out of touches(and transferring). Because we're going to bring in some big time backs this year.

I hope he steps it up too. Bourque and others may make him a case of dead weight if he doesn't step up(no I'm not giving up on him after one pads practice).

Yeah it's going to crowded in the backfield this coming year. Everyone needs to step up ad try to separate themselves from the rest.

Hill was held out of practice today due to NCAA Clearinghouse issues, the staff expects it to be resolved soon though.
