Yep that's exactly what BB's knock on him is. He can't even admit that Welker is one of the best receivers in the NFL. Talk about ish...

What's so funny is gave you a legit reason to why I stated he wasn't a Top 5 overall WR. You guys want it to be a race issue. That's fine.......

It is pathetic, people still don't want to gove the kid credit for cracking the 2 deep. Still don't want to trust the coaches. That is some ish. This kid has obviously busted his tail since the day he has stepped on campus and gets nothing but high praise from people on or around the football team and some people are still being ingnorant all because he is white playing a traditionally black position.

Nothing is traditionally black in sports. We couldn't play for years. We weren't allowed......

Calvin Johnson, Andre Johnson, Wes Welker, Mike Wallace, and throw in a TE either Witten or Gronkowski. Top 5 in the NFL.

Edit: forgot Larry Fitzgerald

No Fitzgerald, Greg Jennings, Vincent Jackson or Brandon Marshall at WR. These guys don't have to line up in the slot to produce either.

No Vernon Davis, or Graham at TE either. Come on.

Edit: add Steve Smith, Victor Cruz(best slot WR in the league), Hakeem Nicks, Roddy White, Miles Austin.

I don't think most people have unreal expectations for Blanc stepping in as a #3 WR. Most things I have read on here people think he will be #3 or #4 in production. If Hunter and CP have 900/1000 yard seasons, then Blanc coming in #3 with 400 yards would be very realistic.

Haha, just seen the edit. I was gonna say you are forgetting a big one. I wish Kenny Britt would get his head straight and stay injury free. He could be so dominant.

I know.. Titans looked so good last nite. Our defense is gonna be nasty. Plus Locker looked sharp.

No offense BB, but how do you know this without Bowles catching a pass? They may pass Blanc and I will be thrilled as long as we are winning, but you cannot use logic on Blanc and then lose that logic for the other boys.

I'll offend him, he's a short sighted know it all that doesn't understand the irony of what he posted. Can't put Blanc on a pedestal because he has yet to catch a pass, but through his 'expert' analysis Pig and Bowles will pass Blanc on the depth chart even though neither of them have caught a pass. Makes a lot of sense in BB world.

Joining the party late here, but if we're listing best WRs in the NFL, there is no way you can leave Greg Jennings and Hakeem Nicks off the list. I think he added Fitzgeral with an edit.

I think Roddy White is going to produce a little less, and that's not a knock on him, Julio Jones is just going to be better.

And the guys I listed are matched up on No.1 or No.2 CBs every down. Getting in the slot is a clear advantage for the WR. You can move the WR around nor can you really call a coverage taking him away like you would if he were lining up on the outside. Slot guys really don't have to deal with press coverage a lot either. Most No.1 CBs also have a hard time playing over slot too. There's a major difference being on the outside with the sideline and going inside where there is a bunch of space and a player outside of you to worry about at times.

Now I gave hep legit reasons and players. Stop playing the race card and respond hep.

SN: I left Julio and AJ off when I could've added them. Julio is looking real good this preseason.

You think he's a better WR right now than most No.3 CBs? Come on with this folks. Don't set yourself up for a big let down. Before crowning him the 3rd best WR on this team let him catch a pass. I personally think Bowles and Howard will pass him by mid-season. Especially Bowles who I expect to take the No.3 role over and run with it.

After the events of yesterday, let people have hope.

First Cam, then Da'Rick. They were both expected to be big pieces to the offense this fall...selfishness cost the Vols two important players.

I am glad that people are looking for options to replace them rather than endless whi ning and birtching about how awful we will be now.

Let the kids dream Dad :)

No idea who has compared him to those guys. You cznt compare kids to anything who havent played a down of college ball. All i am saying is people should trust the coach's. They know what they are doing and none of us dont. Plus we dont know if Blanc is that type of athlete or not. He could or could not be. Nobody knows.

Previous poster put up ht wt 40 times of all those players next to Blancs. Just to compare imo. No mention of talent/experience or even expectations.

Let's not do this....setting yourselves up for failure doing something like this. Let the kid play before claiming all this Blanc craze. I'd be surprised for him to catch over 15-20 passes this year. Which would be a good freshman year. This thread reminds me of another WR on this team that does really well at practice.

Was just giving the guy info. Wasn't a prediction.

Exactly. It was to show that the speed, at least in the 40, is very real. Not to say he is michael Floyd.

For me, I just hope that the sum of our remaining WRs, TEs, and RBs make a greater contribution than Cam and Da'Rick would have.

The good and prosperous times do not mold good men, it is the hard and lean times that truly builds character and teams. These Tennessee Volunteers have been through a ton of adversity. It is time for them to rise up and smite the opponents. To show the world of college football the the Tennessee Volunteers ARE BACK . Time to unlease some (fill in your own favorite expletive here) on the 12 teams that are unlucky enough to be on OUR schedule this fall. BTW there will be enough retribution left for 2 more games IMO! :)

Go Big Orange!
