I have a feeling he just wanted the allure of the "U" offer from Miami. Same has been the case with several Memphis kids, even if the Miami has not been what it used to be.

He is going to be a kid that takes all 5 of his visits to my understanding, so I am not convinced that he won't be a kid that very susceptible to flipping at a later point. That said, I think UNC or TN would be the two likely schools with the best chance of retaining a commitment from him.

I am interested from some of the regulars on here. If TN had an inkling that he was/would be ready to shut it down with a go ahead to make it happen from TN, could they have pushed the button so to speak with Redmond. At some point, I would think they need somebody to start trying to get in the ears of Jelks and Bowles to help balance out anything that Kimbrow might be conjuring up? Just a thought here..

These are some guys I could see committing w/in the next 2 months

Redmond (Tennessee,Vandy,Miss State)
Dawson (Tennessee,Ole Miss)
Norfleet (Tennessee,Michigan State)
Justin King (Tennessee)
Jason Croom (Tennessee,Miss State)
Bowles (Tennessee,Ole Miss,Vandy)

Not saying they will for sure do something but just a few names that I wouldnt be surprised at pulling the trigger soon.
