I posted this on the first page. He certainly puts up the numbers in high school (his team was 4-7)

866 yards passing for 11 TD (8 INT)
1,862 yards rushing for 11 TD (14.78 yards per carry)
10 punt returns for 222 yards (22.2 yards per return)
8 kick returns for 313 yards (39.13 yards per return)

He also was the punter 32.95 yards per kick.

Sounds like he was the team!!!:lolabove::)

I wouldnt be suprised if Redmond got an offer this weekend, but I think the staff could be waiting until camp this summer to see how he does. He has good size & great speed to be a DB, but we will recruit him as an ATH.

Right now he is showing offers to Memphis, Miss. State, and Vandy. Of course he would love Tennessee, or am I missing something. Sounds like he is trying to leverage his connection with Kimbrow into an offer. Please correct me recruiting gurus.

He is a good prospect. Not great, but he could very well blow up after more exposure at summer camps. UT could offer very soon.

Disclaimer: Not a recruiting guru.

Sorry about that jmoore. New information suggests to our friend CLmckee that he is being recruited at DB.

He seems to think Redmond will get an offer eventually just to get Kimbrow. The two are close so he may be correct.

I don't think you're far off. I don't think he's necessarily using Kimbrow to get an offer though. But of course at this point he would love a UT offer.

I don't think we would offer Redmond just to get Kimbrow, I mean he is a legit SEC prospect with a great athletic upside, I think he deserves an offer but not before Holsey

That was my thinking too, but the more I think about it, he's prolly a borderline prospect at this point in terms of an offer and if offering is the difference between landing Kimbrow or not landing him, I think that we would do it.

They have said that they want to go to the same school so it's certainly a realistic scenario.

Will is someone we would offer, IF, a bunch of other prospects fall through. I just don't think we have the room to take him, mainly because we should sign Carmichael this class, and I would venture to say they both project at DB.

Hubbs said today it looks like Carmichael is going JUCO & will be there 2 years. So we wont see him in this class.

Carmichael is going to be a 2013 prospect, I think we offer him because of his athletic upside, we can plug Redmond in at a lot of positions

However I think we are in a good enough position with Kimbrow that we won't have to offer Redmond just to get him

I agree that Carmichael would/should be a take before Redmond, but according to Hubbs it is looking very likely that Carmichael will be attending a JUCO which means it would be 2 years before he would be a potential signee. And yes he does project as a DB.

I missed the Carmichael news today then. So, by all means, offer Redmond, just do it towards October or November. We are going to be MUCH more selective with numbers, even though Dooley wants to sing 25, but realistically probably won't happen.

I think an offer to Redmond will likely hinge on whether or not it's a necessity to land Kimbrow and I don't yet know the answer to that.
