12 TN RB I'tavius Mathers

Hopefully Auburn will have a ton of NCAA trouble or will not offer.

Maybe he won't like Satan. I mean who would.

Then Notre Dame may be a player but if it come down to Tennessee and Notre Dame, we should have a decent chance. jmo

Not really.

Murfreesboro if full of transplants.

You are right and the pipeline from that area to BAMA hasn't been that bad. Unfortunately.

If you look at a map and put a circle around Murfreesboro, Tulluhoma, over to Lewsiburg and BAMA has had their share of success recruiting that area.

Guys if you go back to the beginning of this board; you will see that I posted BAMA is the team to beat. The BAMA fans want this kid more than the Tennessee fans did or maybe even do and the insiders have said the coaches at BAMA wanted him really bad.

Kimbrow is going to fill a need for Tennessee but Mathers can be the real deal for Tennessee at RB. He should be the #1 target for instate kids. The IC commitment makes me wonder if he will be wearing orange. I don't want to see this kid go somewhere else. Sadly he may be going elsewhere.

If I'm not mistaken, Blackmans coach Shadowens is an Alabama fan also. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

But I do trust Dooley and I personally think Mathers would be a good fit for Tennessee and the type back that Dooley wants. Hopefully Dooley can convince Mathers of that.

If anything, Blackman will push him to 'Bama. So many Tide fans.

Don't know if coach Shad is, but multiple football players are, and so is one of the asst. principals. He talks about 'Bama often.

Why is this true? Thats sucks! Are these people transplants from bamer! They need to go to bamer if so, especially an asst. principal! Cant stand having these people in our state!

Surely he has people around him that are vol fans too, and surely he wont pick a school based on others fandom but if he does then:finger3:.

Sorry Bamasucks. Old history. If you really want to know PM me or Google his name. He worked at Blackman during the fiasco. I kind of agree with happytrees that this should stay in the past and not derail this thread.

Lets just say that there is a lot of BAMA influence at Blackman and has been for a long time.

I want this guy to wear Tennessee orange.

Okay since the beginning and yes because he worked there. I meant it as a joke in the first post and I don't want this to derail this thread.

Juicy is still our janitor. A lot of people still think Mathers is Auburn bound if they offer. I hope that isn't the case.

Mathers is a 4* and ranked #240 on theringer.com top 300
Robinson is #175
Cross is #131

Mathers was a no star and probably wasn't in the top 500 1 month ago. He is the real deal and his stock keeps going upward; one of the fastest movers right now and will only go higher IMO as the offers roll.

He's a good back and all but I like what Cross brings to our team a little more. We have more than one Mathers type of back. Cross is the big smash mouth back that we don't have and will need on a third and 1-2 against Bama or LSU. Lane, Neal, and Smith are maybe even better slashing type of backs than Mathers. But this is IMO so what do I know..........
