'12 TN RB Jovon Robinson

If AU didn't think they had a very good chance at getting him qualified they wouldn't have accepted his commitment.

Plain and simple. You can twist it around to make it sound good but bottom line is nobody in the SEC gets RB's like AU.

Straight cash homie

Georgia is right there with them. They just can't keep them.

Name a corps of SEC RBs BETTER than the Barn's including current commits and signees.

I'll take Richardson(complete back) and Lacy over Dyer (unproven) and Mccaleb (sweep specialist) any day of the week. Not to mention Hart is better than Blakely and its not close and Bray will end up at reciever.

Bama has a good RB corps, for sure, but saying Dyer is unproven and then claiming you'll take Lacy over him is a bit of a head-scratcher. I mean, Dyer was Auburn's best offensive weapon in the BCSNC and produced close to 1100 yards rushing. Lacy had less than 500 yards rushing as their 3rd back, although he did have 6 TDs (one more than Dyer). And we've still yet to see Richardson be the bell cow. If anything, Dyer is as proven as Richardson.

Auburn's list, from top to bottom, is still deeper than the Bammers, IMO. Bama's stud RB commit from 2011 is out for the season whereas the Barn has three guys coming in.

And Dee Hart hands-down better than Blakely? How do you know that? I don't think anyone knows that, yet. Definitely won't know this year.

The Alabama crew is way stronger. His only argument is to go back to the list of RBs back to Cadillac and Brown. Might even go back to Stephen Davis and Bo. However, if he goes very far, UTs run from late 80s into early 2000s will stomp that ass.

I had Cadillac and Ronnie Brown in mind initially, but really that's irrelevant since that staff is long gone.

I still don't know how anyone can say that the Alabama crew is way stronger. I watch a lot of Alabama football. More than Tennessee (not by choice). Eddie Lacy is not better than Michael Dyer. His big games were vs San Jose State and Georgia State. So saying Eddie Lacy is better than Dyer is very uninformed, IMO.

Anyway, I disagree that UA's backs are better than the Barns. In fact, I think they're better if you include the incoming freshmen and commits. No biggie if anyone else disagrees. We'll all find out soon enough, thankfully.

I would take Lacy over Dyer right now and never look back.

Intriguing bet! We'll see this year. FWIW, I despise the Barn more than any team, including UA. Just feel their RB recruiting has been incredible over the past couple of years.

Let's just hope Marlin Lane turns out to be better than all of them.

Lol, only two of those that you listed have contributed on the field, and they benefited from defenses keying in on Newton.

Kimbrow is a definite take right now. He's not a DY clone he has more skills and more upside. He also can play CB if needed(he has the athleticism to do it). Don't know what big board you've seen but LV knows someone who has seen the real one and Kimbrow is ranked higher than both of them easily.

Sure wish I could see the real one Big Board.

If we hire Larry Porter (and we should) I think Jovon would be interested in hearing what he had to say about giving UT a look. Auburn is going to be overloaded with RB's next year.

So how does that logic work for Robinson and not Mathers?
