Not going to say how Wilder will turn out but tbh he has not done anything. I love stats but stats have no value unless you can compare them.

Yes Wilder avgs 7ypc
Thompson RB 10.8 ypc (leading rusher)
Manuel starting QB 7.8 ypc

Those stats tell me several things.

1) That the teams they are playing against can not stop the run when you look at the ypc anyone running the ball on the team, especially when you consider that the avg for the team is 7.5 ypc based on 8 diffirent players running the ball.

2)that he gets alot of his carries late in the game especially when you consider that 68%(28 of 41) of all his carries come in the 2nd half

Again he may turn out legit before he leaves FSU but he is not the super star yet that everyone said he would be coming out of HS.:hi:

Yes. He also said Randy Shannon was going to be the DC, but so did many other "insiders". Flvol53 has been right much more than he's been wrong from what I've seen. He certainly seems to be in the minority on this one. We'll see tomorrow...

JWJ was nasty against clemson i know their D aint good but its not terrible

he just beasted on some of them boys marshawn lynch style

hope matt jones, kelvin taylor and adam lane can do some of that next yr

He's got a long history of "inside" info, mostly in Florida.

Folks obviously questioned his info today when he started the thread and he posted his "record"...

For the Record

Wrong - Marve, Shannon, Outback Bowl & CP

Right - Kiffin (Exactly how it would happen from every meeting), Ronnie McKeefrey, Nuke, Bryce, Janzen, Myles, Chaz Green, Orson Charles, Jarvis Giles, David Oku.

This is coming from someone extremely tied into AAU Basketball and 7 on 7 in Jacksonville. Someone I have known for 13 years. He knows I'm a Tennessee fan. Called to tell me we are going to get smoked on Saturday but we will be very happy tomorrow.

I agree but even in that game Thompson was leading rusher and rushing TDs.

I like Wilder and that was the 1st game I saw him in and seems to run alot better with his pads down. Big concern coming out of HS just like Henry. To upright.

To the guy's credit, I could completely see Henry pulling the trigger on UT. It seems that many of these high recruits (Gabe Wright comes to mind) seem to often say one thing, only to make a 'splash' in front of a national audience. That being said, I still think he's Bama bound. I hope not.

Derrick Henry isnt JW3.

JW3 is stiff and robotic.

Henry is Big and athletic and has some wiggle.

Henry would be a Humongous win for the Volunteers.

From some of the highlights I saw on ESPN today I'm not very impressed with him at RB. Green is a better RB and it's not even close in my opinion. Hopefully we get Green and Turman they could both be difference makers for us as freshmen.

Derrick Henry has rushed for more yards than ANYONE EVER in FL high school football. Anyone. Ever. And he still has about 2/3 of his senior season to go. In fact, last week he rushed for over 500 yards in one game. I don't care if his competition isn't the best in the state. It's still HS FB in the state of FL and he's dominating. Oh and a guy named Saban reallllly wants this kid to be in his backfield. This Saban fellow has a pretty decent track record with RB's, IIRC. So this idea that "I saw a few minutes of film and didn't like his upright running style" is absurd. We're all entitled to our opinions on this board but some of these posts are unreal. Unreal.

Vol fans are the most confusing bunch. I'd be happy with any of Henry, Green, or Turman. We need a running back. Beggars can't be choosers.

Saban doesn't want him as a RB. He may say that but he doesn't. Henry will either be an H-Back or play on defense.

And. I mean think about it in 3 yrs if Henry picks UA tom. Rotate Jones and TP out of the RB position and have Henry as the HB/FB.:)

I qualified my post with, "If it meant losing Green."

How is that hard to understand? I think Green is a much better RB.

I'd take Henry in a heartbeat. But I don't think he's a RB at the next level.

That's bs. No one knows that, it's just speculation. He's played one position since he was 5yo...RB. And so what if he does end up at H-back or LB in college, UT can't use one of those? The kid is 6'3" 243lbs and runs a sub 4.5 40yd dash. He'd be one of the best athletes on UT's roster day 1. You don't want him? I do.
