You're probably right. Only place I saw the 1 ET was the updates on the bottom of the screen on ESPN. This article here states he will announce at 2 CT, 3 ET.

I have a funny feeling that he is going to pick UT. He constantly tried to get attention on twitter about where he is going to go. He just seems like the type of kid that would love to pick the team no one thinks he is going too. If he wanted to go to bama I think he would have been hyping UT a little more. This is all just me wishfully thinking but it will not shock me if he chooses UT.
