I think a staff turnover might actually help UT land Bell (if a homerun type coach is hired). Bell grew up a huge UT fan, not a fan of a particular coach at UT. I think if UT goes 7-5 or 8-4 Bell is more likely to go to OSU or Bama than if UT goes 6-6, fires Dooley and makes a homerun hire. JMO

That's a big if on the homerun hire part. History hasn't treated us well in that regard. I don't even know who is out there who would take this job.

I personally would give CDD one more year and here's why, we are just starting to get some depth in places that we need to. Also, one more year with a staff intact will help as far as security that recruits look for. Lastly, if CDD doesn't have a good season next year and is let go at least we will have one more recruiting class that feels more holes. Then at least the new coach can come in with decent depth and team to work with.


Now if this year goes south then that changes everything.

Just one last commit on that note. I think it would be easier to get that home run hire (I for one am not a gruden fan) if you got a good group to come in and work with.

Bama second visit not even official visit. Then probably going to tenn bama game and then the official visit that will be four games. Yall may say im crazy but we will see.

Kiffin and Majors were considered homerun hires at the time. UT is much more stable on all fronts, we won't know until at least the Bama game on what will happen with Dooley though.

TW i think you guys have 21 commits and already have a safety. do you still have room for him? i know hes good but bama seems to be young in the secondary and are always in on some other great players as well.

Vonn, we could really use you in the secondary. If we had one or two of those big runs stopped tonight, we may have won this game. SEC east title contender if we had a stronger secondary.

Sal needs to pitch a tent in Vonn's front yard. If we got Bell and Ramsey or some other elite corner, we might be cooking with grease.

We have 20 currently committed with Henry now. But D Johnson with his current legal troubles I doubt will be a part of this class and we have another with some academic concerns. We will take 25 so atleast 6 more right now. It seems one more OL(maybe 2), WR, 3 DBs, and maybe one more TE/DE. DBs with S Williams knee injury and CB Dixon gone we need a few more in this class.

Anyone know if Sal has that tent pitched in Bell's yard yet? Hell, we can take shifts like sitting in it like they do in Krzyzewskiville for Duke's basketball game tickets.
