Ive watched the game twice now and I didnt see a single bad angle so Im going to assume you are talking about this play :

that is not a bad angle. and he surely didnt take (multiple) bad angles in the game

he had to make a desperation dive at a RB who had cutback on a free run 20 yards down the field right up the middle.

btw, pre - play, he rotated down to deep middle Before the play to disguise coverage and he was at a distinct disadvantage in space

He overpursued on the last long TD but that was the only glaring negative i saw from him. Moore brought his usual bad play, save for the pick 6 that he would have been beaten on if not for the tip. Brewer is a big hitter, but that's about it.

Moore catches a lot of flack for being the top tackler on the team. He also leads in INTs. He's making bad mistakes, but good grief, the guy is producing.

He's getting wrecked in the running game. He's playing Pac-12 pretty boy ball right now. He's playing safety like a corner.

We have nobody else we could put there. he knows the playbook and he's got really good ball skills and already has 4 picks and took one back to the house. I understand he's not the best tackler in space but who else could we possibly put there right now?

Moore is the top tackler because RBs get to the second level of our defense like water running through a fawcett. His interceptions are a result of playing centerfield in the defense for the most part. He is producing, but it is more the result of opportunity than him creating plays. Trust me, a safety leading the team in tackles is a bad sign for your defense. He is solely responsible for several breakdowns in coverage all season and he is a terrible form tackler. Like BB said, he is playing finesse PAC-12 defense right now.

Say what you want. He's producing. The fact he's getting tackles because opponents are getting to the second level isn't his fault.

I don't disagree that he is producing. I question the merit of that production. He is also responsible for giving up numerous big plays in coverage. You seem to only want ro recognize his stats while throwing out the things that don't show up in a box score, such as missed tackles and blown assignments. He is responsible for a lot of that. You can't ignore it just because he has nice stats.

like someone else said "who would you put in his place"?

I didn't realize we were the type of elite program that could could just sit this kid and replace him with an All American with no weaknesses. Just a guess, but I bet he has shed a whole lot more blood, sweat and tears to help the Vols football team than have you. More power to him as he continues working and I wish him the best. GBO

I'm not suggesting that there is a suitable replacement right now, but that does not mean he is above reproach. Calling a spade a spade. He has produced "numbers", but he has struggled in coverage. Nothing more, nothing less.

That's fair. But, he's producing. It has to be a team effort. McNeil should have been playing a lot more. Let Brewer play more in the box.

Moore got trucked for major yards yesterday. This is big boy ball you have to attack ball carriers. When McNeil hit Gurley he went down in a hurry.

To be fair, a lot of our players got trucked/missed tackles yesterday.

Moore already has 4 picks and took one back to the house..I don't see a reason he shouldn't be playing.

I get what u have been saying about Moore, but we would be in a lot bigger trouble without him... Especially with Randolph down.. We gotta hope and pray nobody else goes down back there.

Right we can only play who we have. I think this staff will be improving this defence every week. I think they know a lot more about devleping players than we do. This bye week will help a lot and in think we will be totally better D in starksville.

I get what your saying.I feel the whole defence has struggled not just him. I think calling him out is unfair. Just my opinion though.
