I didn't say he tried to play with him I said he was probably trying to connect with him by playing with him. Do you think they went on the visit to play a damn video game the whole time? Or were they there to talk to Vonn and his family and try and sell UT?

"Come to UT. Besides being winners, your coaches are pretty cool and accessible too."

It doesn't seem that selling UT and playing video games with a recruit are mutually exclusive.

Is there any evidence that this did not happen? You may have addressed that at some other point in this craziness, but I didn't care to look.

Also, your first mistake (as someone already mentioned earlier) is listening to Paul Kuharsky about anything related to college football, especially recruiting news. He might know some NFL stuff, but he knows very, very, very little about college football recruiting.

First off, I can't stand Paul but I do enjoy the rest of the crew. And secondly, he is not wrong about this as there is an article in which Vonn himself is quoted as saying he played call of duty almost the whole time the staff was there. It's a few pages back of you'd care to read it.

Ive already addresses this but I'll say it again. Don't get me wrong I definitely don't think it's a possitive thing. As I said, I could very well be wrong and hope that I am. But in my original post I did not put any sort of spin on it, just posted exactly what they said on 104.5. I later went on to give my opinion of why I thought it was not a good thing but my original post was nothing but passing along information. Again, I'm not sure what's hard to understand about that.

Don't keep answering to people now Phil. He didn't even bother reading all the post before he commented. You were already given a hard time and paid your dues for your opinion. If anyone else comments.....just reply with see the above 40 posts. :)

Again I hope I'm wrong and you guys are right...it just didn't come across that way to me. But that could very well be the case.

Good idea :)

ok, thanks :hi:

I really don't think there is a way to spin the COD positive for us. To me it says that he didn't care.

Thankfully none of us on here are Vonn Bell and it doesn't matter what we think about this NON-ISSUE. If it was that big of a deal and he was that disinterested in UT why would he be making a trip to Knoxville this weekend?

Yeah I think this is the only way one can view this, been through the recruiting process and I can tell you video game was farthest thing from mind. this really bothers me if true just hope there is more to the story than we know, this is the kid you can't let get away.

makes sense. Especially since he and his family are visiting this weekend.

He must not give a ****. You are right, Manti.

I posted my opinion, relax. I was feeling somewhat confident before this happened just seems like a lifelong fan would be excited to have the entire defensive staff in his living room.

Could be a courtesy visit, who knows. Hope it really was a non-issue because we need Vonn.

ok, i'll relax. I was getting really uptight about an 18 yr old and was just not feeling too confident because I assumed the Bell family welcomed the whole UT staff into their home and allowed their son to play COD with friends the entire time and made them get their own drinks

You think it is not a big deal. I think it was a big deal. Agree to disagree. I hope he was comfortable enough with the staff that he chose to play video games rather than not caring. I hope I'm wrong.

What's hard to understand is why, with all the positive remarks from Vonn Bell on how the visit went and his statement concerning playing video games with the coaches, you would ignore that and accept 3rd party negative spin instead.
