Just talked to Vonn Bell. He really enjoyed his Tennessee visit this weekend. The crowd chanting his name was something he really liked. He talked a lot about the family atmosphere and the energy around the program. Story will be up shortly.

Your my kind of vol fan brother I live in Alabama I would love to have that license plate people really don't understand if u are a vol u hate bama and the people that think that they don't hate us come live down here for a week or 2 GO VOLS

Bell was suppose to announce in Dec and most believed it would have been to UA. That changed and he decided to give UT a chance as well as OSU another. Bell at the allstar game announced UA was his leader.

Sometimes a staff will give their best shot for a recruit with the hope but at a certain point you have to look at other options. It is recruiting and no one knows what will happen.

The staff has Conner rated ahead of Vonn Bell and if they can get the projected class finish of Conner, Liner, Kamara and jackson, there is a scenario where Bell is not a part of this class.

The flip side of this argument is that UT has been trending in the last week with Bell and maybe there has been a sense that he is not leaning to UA at this time.

"It was live. It was a real good visit with coach Jones, coach (Tommy) Thigpen and all those guys. Just a real good experience with all those guys," Bell said. "He opened up a lot of eyes in my family and brought up a lot of discussion points and we're going to think about this long and hard. But, it was a good visit to Tennessee as they're trying to get back on the right track."

"It was cool. I had never heard an arena get that loud in my life," Bell said. "I said, 'This can't be happening.' Then they wanted me to stand up and I didn't, but finally I did and the whole crowd went crazy." "It really was cool. Just seeing how all the fans are really involved in Tennessee football program and how they're looking forward to the next season and how they're looking forward to what coach Jones is going to bring to the table," Bell said.

"When you talk to coach Jones you can just feel the positive vibe and the positive energy he's bringing to the school. The staff he's brought in they're more family-based, they stick together and they're trying to pull everybody they have together at Tennessee to get them back on the right path and get back to that tradition," Bell said. "Those guys are real good guys. You can just tell how the treat their families and how they approach the players and how they open their families up to us just from that weekend, so you can see the good side of coach Jones and what he's going to bring to the table."

"I was surprised, but everyone is very special. Tennessee is a special place. Ohio State is a special place and Alabama is," Bell said. "All those guys that I'm looking at are special places. But, you've got to find that one that sticks out to you."

Twice in his quotes he really sounded high on the vols, however after each he said "but..."
like he was hedging. I may be over reading this because I want this kid so d@mn bad.
I hope Im wrong! He would be a standout. And the crowd in the stadium would light up way more than 50K if he catches an interception! It would explode!
Hope we get him.
Im proud of Butch, the staff, and the fans for leaving such a good impression. The comeback I feel has started.
