Good lord people step away from the ledge. It's always been the same story for Bell. He's a wait and see guy, and if we have a good season this year, he's ours.
Even if he did silent to OSU, we have the whole season to change his mind. Seeing UT put up 8-9 wins and have a good year it'll be hard for VB to turn down the school he grew up loving and dreaming to play for.
Would you rather have Vonn Bell or Jalen Ramsey?
I totally agree with this. Based on what Bell himself has said, I have always expected him to be a Vol on NSD if we have a good year on the field. I see no reason to change my mind, especially based on some internet rumor.
We all need to just take a chill-out pill and wait for the season to play itself out. If Tennessee wins 8-10 games, Dooley is off the hot seat and our recruiting clout will drastically improve.

I wouldn't say that Dooley is off the hot seat with just an 8 win season. Any half decent coach could win 8 games with the roster and schedule we have this year.
8 wins might buy him another season. 10
Wins would take him off the hot seat at least for the next season.
Did I miss something? Why did everyone, all of a sudden, lose optimism about recruiting Bell? I'm fully aware of the "rumors" from his tOSU visit. Obviously, they weren't true. So, was it VN being VN?
I'm just wondering because the mood in this thread plummeted.

?
Ramsey... but what about Carr, Sanders, and JRM ?
How is Sanders not a big time recruit? If he opened up his recruitment tomorrow, he'd have a dozen calls by lunch time.I understand the point you are getting at. But Carr isn't 100% to UT & is listening seriously to Ole Miss, JRM is still undecided, and Sanders isn't necessarily what I would consider a "big-time" recruit.
Ramsey is the only elite, in-state prospect UT has lost out on this recruiting cycle, because UT didn't continue to pursue Herron IIRC. But losing JRM or Bell would be inexcusable, IMO. CDD also needs to hold on to Carr. Landing JRM and Gray would certainly help.
