'13 HI OG/DT Reeve Koehler

I never make predictions. But I will say something b/c in this case, let's just say I know people who know people.

Reeve Koehler will be a Vol on signing day IF CBJ wants him. He loves Tennessee. Period.

I have no idea why the new staff wouldn't want this guy.

Slow 40-time even for a big-guy but I agree, as depleted as TN's roster is right now one would think CBJ would take a top rated OG if he's willing to confirm his commitment. CBJ can then move-on and spend their recruiting time swaying other prospects.

UT isn't depleted by any stretch of the imagination on the OL. If there's a position where they have room for error... it is there.

Jackson
Bullard
Stone
Richardson
Fulton
Crowder
Kirbyson
Posey
Pair
and that assumes James turns pro which I think would be very foolish on his part. Compared to where the OL was when the last change took place......

I agree, lock-up this kid and move-on, go spend time on positions of greater need. No point in evaluating every OL in the country when a stud like Koehler is ready to put-on the orange.

Who outside the top-5 has proved anything, really? They maybe great, but I'm not sure we can tell yet.

I see Pair transferring; Dooley not taking an OL last year was such a terrible decision.

I agree for the most part, but there will be a big drop off after 2013:

Fulton Sr.
Stone Sr.
Bullard Sr.
Jackson Jr.
Richardson Jr.
Pair Jr.
Crowder So.
Kerbyson So.
Posey So.

James if he stays. Kerbyson earned meaningful PT as well.

I am not sure about Crowder but he's a talented player.

Need 4 OL this cycle
We lost out on Miller (Tenn led throughout but lack of contact/follow up---committed to Rutgers) do not want to lose Koehler too.

SN: Koehler has an close relationship w/ Pittman, Arky offer is late but a threat nonetheless.

If we can bag Sanders, Koehler, and Morris, I would be fine with our O-lineman haul.

Dont shoot the messenger but my brother got a text from koehler today and his offer has apparently been pulled. Same for his teammate. Definitely bummed about that.

I could see why, hes a big dude that probly won't work well in a hurry up, but I am still mad over it if true.

Thanks for the info. Has your brother heard from coach Jones yet?

It's pretty depleted after next year when the seniors and Richardson(maybe) are gone. Someone made the comment that we made a mistake not taking more o-linemen last year and that it will come back to hurt us. Unless we can get some talent to sit behind these guys, go through a college strength program, and learn SEC football then we could see a decline of productivity at o-line. Thankfully we have some commits already

Merrr you pull the scholarship of a talent that WANTS to be here. Hope butch has got some interest from other O-line recruits

Kendrick, Sanders + Christian Morris and the Weisman kid

I would consider that a very strong OL class, possibly even try for Derwin Gray again?
