I don't think so. I wish I could find the article that talked about Martin visiting Crawford after injury. If anything, it might help a bit because I'd guess he isn't as much as a priority to some coaches as he was. If the article is true, we are still looking to make that happen.
Torn ACL, out until atleast January.
Very unfortunate for the young man, good kid and was really coming on.
I'm curious if this effects our recruitment of him???
Personally I think this play to our advantage. Let teams cool and pass on him, I will gladly take him as our 4th, along with hubbs Nichols and jw3.
Unfortunately I think CCM will pass on him. It's going to be tough evaluating his recovery and it's not like Crawford has the connections for a Dr. James Andrews consult.
It's not like hell never play again, he'll be playing at the end of his senior year if everything goes fine, including the state playoffs.
I tore my ACL and still played in college. It's not a big deal if you rehab properly, especially with today's procedures. It's not nearly the kiss of death that it once was.
Expect most teams to cool off on Crawford.
Memphis will take a hospital bed commitment to get Crawford..said that on the radio today...and yes I agree...Parrish is on the same level as a Dick Vitale..just not very legit....hey, it was 100 degrees and I didnt feel like finding something to listen to on IPhone for 20 minute ride home so for some reason I listened to him...It reminds me of why I USUALLY DONT LISTEN TO HIM...
That would be news, they haven't been thought to be pushing hard for him, at all.
I think the implication is that Parrish believes they (Memphis) will take a commitment from Crawford no matter what his physical condition is.
Reinforces my belief that Gary Parrish isn't very plugged into what's going on re: Memphis bball. Memphis may accept a commitment from Markel, but we weren't really pursuing him very hard prior to his injury. We only offered earlier this year after he had an out of this world few months.
I still think Markel is going somewhere in the SEC.
