'13 TX FS Kameron Miles

A&M has 28 commits, they can only take 28 per SEC rules.

Some of those commitments are going to enroll in January, so they go against last year's numbers, when A&M didn't sign all of their allotted open slots. For what it's worth, A&M has a few open slots left.

Texas A&M 2013 Football Commits
247 shows 29 commits with 4 EE's counting back to 2012 therefore that will be 25commits for 2013, ATP.
I'm not exactly sure how this works or how many available spots they will have.

No offense to UT, but Kam would be crazy to go to UT over A&M. They have already accomplished more in the SEC than UT has in 3 years.

I wouldn't advise a player to play for this current staff in any capacity. Sorry to say this about the Vols but they aren't developing players at all.

ATP from a recruiting standpoint any firing of the current staff should be kept as quiet as possible from inside the ad until a new coach is ready to accept the job and hit the recruiting trail.

How much of an impact does Texas A&M's win over Alabama have on Aggies recruiting?
-- Frank in Beaumont, Texas

The recruiting mojo was already moving in a positive direction for the Aggies, and Saturday's win in front of a national television audience undoubtedly turned it up a notch.

However, I do not think it will have as big of an impact as some might think, just because Texas A&M already had the attention of most of the region's recruits. The Aggies are strong players for uncommitted prospects such as Ricky Seals-Jones, Mike Mitchell, and Justin Manning. And after offering last week, they have the attention of Rivals250 safety Kameron Miles.

People have already seen Texas A&M can compete in the SEC, they have already seen Kevin Sumlin's high energy offense with Johnny Manziel at the helm, and they have already seen a defense. Saturday in Tuscaloosa just reinforced things and continued the momentum.

Supposedly, aTm can take 36 this year by back couting. This coming from an aTm guy I know. He also said Kameron Miles said he would open up recruitment if DD is fired.

Then promptly re-commit to UT after he realizes we have upgraded.

we just need to stay out of texas for elite recruits. there's too many top programs between here and there that they could go to... If i take off the Orange glasses, theres no reason i could justify picking UT over A&M right now if i live in Texas.

And Dalton Sant ...

AH, crap.

He's still getting ran through like our current backers. Oklahoma waves :hi: :)

But we can't turn our backs on a state that produces good players. No way you do something like that if you're trying to win big. Saban went into Texas for a DB this year. You don't try to pull the whole state just cherry pick a kid or two a year. That would be fine for recruiting Texas.

Yep. Agreed.

A freshman linebacker struggled against OU, he must be the worst player ever! Lol

He will commit to aTm after a visit this weekend. If he can play at home and the sec its what he wants to do. Even if Dooley would stay he still flips.

See ya, Kam...
While it’s hard not to think about it, the current Tennessee commit has a big decision to make about what SEC school he’ll be attending next year. That’s because the Texas A&M Aggies entered the picture over the past few weeks and recently offered. By the sound of things, Aggieland is going to be his future home.

“I basically have my visit planned out,” he said. “I talked to my parents about it and my coaches and I’ve basically made my decision.”

What decision is the state’s number one rated safety referring too?

“I have to take care of some business in the playoffs first but hopefully I’ll be an Aggie after that,” he said. “I’m going to take an unofficial next week for the Missouri game and then I’ll come back and talk to my parents about it. I may take an official down there so my parents can come down with me because they want to talk with the coaches too. Then I’ll make my decision.”
