'13 VA RB Derrick Green (Michigan commit)

Oku rushed for 1100 yards and 16TDs this year. I have no doubt he will be drafted in the upcoming draft. Both guys are doing well.

No, you are extremely overrating the year that he had. He had a solid year, but there are easily 20 running backs that will go ahead of him in the 2014 nfl draft (which is the average # of rbs taken per draft). He will probably get a shot as a free agent, but not drafted.

This weekend is likely to mark the end of Derrick Green's recruitment. The nation's top running back will be deciding between Michigan, Tennessee and Auburn. If Florida State had jumped in earlier in the process, the Seminoles' hat could have been on the table but it was too little, too late.

The Wolverines have been the leader for an extended period of time and I have maintained that I expect Green to choose Michigan. His relationship with Todd Graham really kept Tennessee in the hunt, especially when Butch Jones retained him.

There are three reasons that I think Green will really take to heart, which will favor Michigan. The return to a pro-style run game that produced a lot of NFL talent, the overall stability of the program and the relationships he has formed with the coaches, players and incoming class, including his closest friend through recruitment, David Dawson.

Even if these points aren't the criteria Green is using, after having multiple conversations with Green, my gut feeling is that he will choose Michigan.

Kiffin was a bum and I never liked him at all. I was speaking about his ability to recruit the RB position. He could recruit and has proven that since leaving UT.
No he hasn't. He really hasn't. He is signing highly rated classes at USC. Big deal. When you have 50-100 4/5* players within 3 hours of campus... it isn't really that tough. But as we get deeper into "his" players... they had a pretty bad season.

His signing both Brown and Oku in the same class spoke to that fact.
No it didn't. Oku was interested when Fulmer was coach then finally came back around with Kiffin. Brown said he had wanted UT to contact him even before Fulmer was fired... and a certain blond had as much to do with his decision as Kiffin did.
Brown was the starter for the Eagles. Oku rushed for 1100 yards and 16TDs this year. I have no doubt he will be drafted in the upcoming draft. Both guys are doing well.

Oku got in trouble. He would not have stayed regardless of who the coach was... unless slimy Kiffin had managed to cover it up.

Brown was a worthless prima donna at the college level. The difference between him and a RB you want on your college team is the difference between having a sexual relationship with a hooker or a wife... one is always just about the money.

I tried not to diss the guy while the stuff was happening at UT. Kiffin made promises. Dooley refused to make them. Any coach worth a dime would have said the same thing- want the position? Earn it.

But since he went through KSU too... I've learned to have very, very little respect for Brown. He flat out just thought he was too good to give effort for a college team... or to be an even reasonably good teammate. One thing that came out at KSU is that he basically decided against attending mandatory meetings... just blew them off.

Hmmm... I wonder who this Todd Graham fellow is?:lolabove:

Brown did nothing for UT except stir up trouble. At KSU, Snyder wouldn't put up with his BS either. I could care less what the prima donna does in the pros.

I had to search Oku.... he gained a 1000 yds for Ark St averaging 4.4 ypc. He was NEVER going to be the solution for UT.

Brown was zero trouble for UT. Your boy ran him off

Hard to put much stock in someone (even Rivals) opinion who doesn't know the name of the guy recruiting Green from a specific school.

Jay..., Jay Graham.

I know it was not in the article, just said it as I figure the writer got it from somewhere. :p

Green has had a relationship with Jay Graham for 3 years now, I'm pretty sure he knows his name isn't Todd.

My guess is Farrell had a brain fart thinking of Todd Grantham.
