'13 VA RB Derrick Green (Michigan commit)

If y'all find the need to bash a 17/18 year old kid for not coming here, you need to reevaluate your own life because that's just messed up and sad. Good luck to him. We can all cheer for him to beat Urban at OSU right?

It's hilarious these new rival fans come on a UT board and say something good about the team they root for and then cry when UT bashes it. :). These guys need to either leave or get some thick skin and post logically like the few Gator fans on here. IMO.

you're 100% right. i'm a mich man now living in tn and posting on a tn forum. but sometimes it's hard to just smile and read........ point taken.

:good!:. I mean it isn't just toward you specifically, plenty on here. The Gators on here post frequently so feel free, but they get a ribbing from time to time and vice versa, but they take it in stride most times with added sarcasm.

Local Fox news said that Green stated "coaching changes were a part of the decision."

Ok.........so.........instead of going in AFTER a coaching change; he will be right in the MIDDLE of a coaching change with UM

What a horribly subjective and completely wrong point of view you have.

Yeah, I got that from espn. Don't remember what day it was they said Hoke would be on a short leash and could be on the hot seat soon.

IMO it would take missing a bowl game next year to legitimately be on the hotseat. But he would still get another year after that.

Either way the point of my post was that during his recruitment we actually had a coaching change and Green only had a month to get to know Butch. Compare that with the multiple years he has had to get to know Hoke. Hoke's seat is not remotely hot right now and if things go the way Green has planned Hoke won't be going anywhere. So your (or ESPN's) logic is pretty flawed. Hoke getting canned is a very large and premature "if".

Yeah, they just mentioned going from 11-2 to 8-5 in first two years might raise some concern. I honestly just wanted to be a jerk about it in response to him dissin us today and I wanted to get some Michigan fans going, lol.

Looks like it worked!!! :hi:

WRONG!! Dooley had 3 weeks before NSD when he was hired. He got Da'Rick Rogers 5*, James Stone *4 star, and Justin Hunter *4 star in that little time, all will have NFL careers. Butch Jones was hired first week of December, he's had close to two months.

Dooley was just a terrible game manager, Butch Jones could still finish strong, no need to hit the panic button. Your statement about "More time" was false though.

Da'Rick and Hunter were lined up by Kiffin. We lost Chaz Green and got Stone. Dooley turned a top three class into a top ten class.

I thought that Green never committed to Tenn, Hunter was going to LSU and Da'Rick was UGA bound before Dooley? Not 100% sure on this but that's what I remember.

darick was UGA bound til nash nance's dad. after hutson mason committed to UGA, nash nance's dad got mad that UGA didn't take his son and kiffin knew it so kiffin started to recruit nash and rogers as a package deal. he set the ground work and nash's dad finish the deal with that package. dooley benefited from that. it was a great thing for UGA that happened, UGA picked up a 4 year starter on the oline with that scholarship that would have been used by rogers.

Again, Da'Rick would not have committed to Lane.

I think Michigan is a good football program, I'm just surprised that the number "1" running back doesn't want to go to the SEC? Think about it, if he wants to go to the NFL the SEC would've gotten him there. I would understand if he went to another school in our conference but the Big 10? C'mon Man

Ok Michigan! You are being a bit classless. You got your boy, yes we are disappointed. So take your prize and go home.

What did he say that was so classless? Looked like it was a simple reply to a post. Some of ya'll are sensitive types.

With that said, the posted picture wasn't impressive.
