Excerpts from Rivals -
"It was between Michigan and Tennessee," the 6-foot, 220-pound Green said. "Michigan always had the edge, but it was definitely out of those two."
"It was the coaching staff there; it's unbelievable," he said. "Coach (Brady) Hoke is a great coach, but he's an even better person. It's amazing for a head coach. "I have a good relationship with all the recruits there, especially the offensive linemen," Green said. "David Dawson and I are like brothers. It's just like home every time I go up there. I love it."
Many in the industry assumed that the top running back in the country would choose one of the SEC teams, but Green had other plans.
"People always talk about how I should go play in the SEC and play in the heat, but I prefer playing in the cold weather," he said. "With me being from New York, it was always cold so I prefer to play in the cold weather."
"Michigan was just home for me out of the three schools," he said. "I sat down and talked with my parents about it, and we just came to the conclusion that Michigan just felt like the better place. I love Tennessee and I love Auburn, but Michigan was just the place that was going to help me pursue my dreams."
