'13 VA RB Derrick Green (Michigan commit)

Looks like some of those Michigan backs aren't getting a proper scent of the football. In their last game, Michigan had -46 yards rushing and Green, their #2 back, didn't get a touch. Would be huge for us if he is actually considering transferring here and would be devastating for Michigan next year. He would have to sit out a year to become eligible correct?

Shouldn't these guys who committed to other schools go on the 'Around the NCAA' forum? It would make more sense to worry about someone that chose and is playing for another school there.

He's not acting like a diva man. Any person who speaks up for themselves is a diva here. If he think's he's better and not getting any play time he should say something. Especially after a -46 yard game.

Yes, 18 year old freshmen running backs should voice displeasure in not having a spot handed to them. That's what kids should learn today, buck up against authority figures. That works well in the real world.

If we're a go for him, Butch will fill Green in on the landscape ahead..no surprises...a year under Lawson will have him physically ready and a year in the system without playing will benefit the fit even more imo...under these caveats...definitely a take

Everyone was excited when a 3 star 3rd string running back with similar career carries than green transfers from Maryland, but when 5 star green considers transferring here he's not a take?

Hahaha go vols

I think so too, I like Hoke. I will like him more if he runs D Green out of town and to our doorstep though.

I am not sure we would want Green. He seems to be a little bit of a "me" type player and that does not fit the Jones mold. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

He just wants to play; can't fault him for that. However transferring won't solve all his problems. Hard work will be required no matter what school he attends.

He should probably lose the weight he gained. Or consider switching to another position. But yeah, he'll need to work wherever he goes. If Coach wants him, then I'll be happy for him to come here.

It does work if you're a 5*: see Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Google, Twitter, etc...
