in 97 we signed Travis Henry (UT all time leading rusher), Travis Stephens (UT single season rushing record), and Jamal Lewis who was the most talented of the 3 and won a super bowl.

That is by far the best running back class in UT history.

In this case is it a violation for a coach to contact a player enrolled in another school before they decommit, or does said interested university have to wait till the student athlete has been released before contact is made? 3.3. Their starter is averaging 3.7 YPC. Could very well be the offensive line.

Michigan’s running game is a mess. Al Borges is taking a lot of heat for not rotating players and getting 30 yards rushing at Penn State and -48 total rushing with 1 yard on 28 carries vs. Michigan State. If I was a running back I wouldn’t want to be there either.

Don't remember this excitement you are referring to. I think it was a case of immediate need. We now have a couple of guys in the 2014 class. Lane's year to shine is next year, and we have serviceable back ups like Pickett and Tom Smith.
