Has to be the grade thing. Watch his film compared to other LBers ranked ahead of him on Rivals and tell me what you think. I'm glad he's coming our way with hopefully a chip on his shoulder when it comes to the teams in Alabama.

Talent sites should only evaluate a player based on talent and ceiling. Grades shouldn't factor into their rankings. Leave that up to the coaches to discern. I hope you're right and he comes in with a chip on his shoulder and tears up the SEC.

There is a reasonable chance that happens. If he does it will not be because the others in the class did not play well. It will be because Gavin becomes exceptional.

So many head knockers committed at LB right now. Mouhon, Bryant, and Weatherd are all relentless. The funny part is Bates is rated higher than all 3. We're going to bring the pain with this crop of guys.

This kid is a beast. Rivals keeping him ranked so low is a joke. The only downside I see is a lot of personal fouls in his future.

I'm looking forward to seeing him in person at the Alabama-Mississippi All Star Game next week. A good week of practice and a solid game could help him earn a bump up. "

This is a BS reason for keeping him below the 4 star level. Really laughable seeing how they will pump certain players.

Money money money. They'll do anything to stimulate interest. Anything to generate drama and create an element of the unknown around a prospect gives them a greater chance of getting $ub$cription$ to their site
