How many of you still want to drop this kid for Garrett? :) or would you pick someone else seeing he's a high level four star type of talent.

I think he's the best LB in our class as I've stated for a while. Can come in and play for us right now.

Agree. I love to see LB's like Gavin square up and run through the tackle. Serious man crush when I see that happen. Football is meant to be played kick azz. That's why I have a rough time accepting what I see out of AJ and some of our other show ponies on this roster.

Only reason I'd prefer Garrett is grades. If we're talking on the field stuff, Bryant looks just as good. I'm not knowledgeable enough to say who's better, but Bryant and Bates are my two favorite LBs in this class; but in biased because they're both committed.

Ego stroking. I don't recall anyone wanting to get rid of him regarding his talent. People just don't expect him to qualify and Garrett will so would you not take that trade? I don't see issue with people wanting both players.

I know you were joking but,I actually saw a stat a few months ago showing kids from AL actually have produced more in college than any other state over the last 8-10 years or so (I cant remember exact #). I can't remember if it was on tv or an article on the internet or what.

They went back how many ever recruiting classes and looked at their production in college. Pretty sure it also showed the percentage of HS players in each state that get D1 scholly's based on the total amount of HS players in each state, fwiw.

On the qualifying issue - people said Jabo Lee would not qualify either with similar grades/test score undercurrents. He qualified. The staff is tracking Gavin's progress and will have a good handle on it by February. Most of these kids can get there when they get serious, do the rights things, and do the work.

Yeah UT is getting a very solid LB. Its a good year for LB in AL so im not surprise a few high level kids will end up signing OOS

Our staff is very high on Bryant and Johnson I believe they like Johnson better than Garrett
