I believe this kid sticks, sure hope he does. I like his attitude and no need to call attention to himself. Looks like a real team player IMO

My favorite LB in our class. Should be a 4 star but the services are BSin. Bell cow in the run game. Will meet RBs all game and say hello. I'm hoping more than anyone else we keep him. He's nasty like the Morrison kid for Florida(on the field :) )

Because Christian Miller is wavering on his Bama commitment and could be flipping back to UGA. That opens up a hole at OLB, and Bama has already been putting the press on Evans lately. If Bryant 100% has the grades to get in then I would think AU would target him for sure. Typical recruiting dominoes.

And Reuben Foster was from Auburn and it didn't take much for Bama to flip him either. Hate to say it but they're landing almost everyone that they make a priority.

There was extenuating circumstances to the Foster situation if I remember correctly.

He was the one where a racial slur was brought up on his visit and he literally drove to Tuscaloosa and committed to bama that night. It was crazy I remember it like it was this spring

Wait, what's the story? Kid loves Auburn, grew up there, had an Auburn tattoo but decides nope, that's not for me after . . . a "racial slur was brought up" drives over to rival Alabama and commits to them the same day? Sounds made up

I think he was an Alabama commit living in Georgia. Then he moved to auburn and flipped. Then he flipped back to Alabama late in the process.

Story was he got in a nasty verbal altercation with an Auburn offensive linemen and he called him the N word. That is how I remember reading it anyway.

The racist stuff was a factor, but I also think his coaches at Auburn HS pressured him into committing to the Barn, and after his HS football season he was all Bama.

Nobody really knows, his recruitment was wacky.

I do remember the rumor was that Auburn's starting center, who had had other racist incidents, saying something like he hated having to host recruits because all the n****rs act like they were entitled to something, or words to that effect.

It was important to us at the time because Lawson was on campus when this allegedly happened. IIRC.
