'14 DC CB D'Andre Payne (UT commit 4/3/13)

This kid is elite. So pumped about what he can do. Playmaker anywhere you put him

I wouldn't count out Jones or Foreman just yet to take the spot opposite Sutton. Foreman has excellent speed, and physically Jones looks the part of an SEC corner. His leg is what kept him off the field.

I'm still really excited to see Payne.

Does the staff think Jones was recruited over and wanted his scholarship spot for 15? He missed most of the 2013 season, but instead of RS, played in the last few games in a very limited role.

Agree. Will be nice to have some viable options for a change.

I was surprised by his height actually. In the pictures of the teams for the volympics (ow whatever they're calling them this year) he didn't look much shorter than Sutton.

He already has the bulk and speed to play. If he can pick up te system well enough in the spring, I think he'll be a shoe in to contribute a lot this fall.

Thanks for posting those Wu ... But 2 top 100 players and zero 5*'s in Scouts final rankings with Malone highest at 66? I'm a little surprised at their rankings to be honest.

Really proud of how our guys are stepping up in the community.

I saw that. Me too. So much responsibility being a guy playing major college football. Academics, practice, and giving back to the community. Very heart warming seeing pictures like that.
You know they make those kids week visiting them.

He looked truly happy serving as well. Very proud

We seem yot have a lot of good hearted players. As merely a fan, I am very proud of this class.

I really thought the whole "winners on and off the field" was BS, but Butch has really impressed me. He has brought in some great guys that have great talent.

Mine too until I seen the O&W game. His size is going to hurt him in the SEC.

Nah, it won't.

He's shorter, but he's a muscular guy. As long as he's smart about tackling, he'll be fine.

I'm excited about Payne. He may not end up being a superstar, but I'm confident he'll be a large contributing factor to a good defense in a couple years.

High school I know, but his senior tape makes him look really dangerous in the open field. Any chance he competes for one of the kick return positions this yr?
