If you're really shaking your head over dropping just 4 spots then idk what to tell you, the drop isn't significant at all.

Some of you guys will find anything to ***** and moan about.

If anything they need to be glad that the avg star rating actually went up to 3.5 which is damn good.

No it is just laughable to me. I think they just shuffle these guys around a few spots each time they update to keeps selling subs. I just shake my head because UT recruits always seem to fall a few slots. They never gain a few. Just SMH at rivals arbitrary movements.

Sure they are. And Rivals was the gun man on the grassy knoll. Also I'm selling aluminum foil hats to help keep the government spy waves out of our brains. $1 apiece.

Jeez it was just an observation not a declaration of mass conspiracy.

I'm not losing any sleep over such a short drop. That being said, it was a bad drop considering how well he competed in camps against some of the best competition in the country

I saw the quote posted earlier from an analyst saying he struggled in ChiTown but did well at The Opening. I didn't realize he had struggled at that camp, what were the problems he had at that camp?

The only knock on Dillon is that he lacks true ideal LB strength.

He's being compared to guys like Garrett, SDH, and others.

I could see Dillon being compared to Sean Lee with Cowboys, I think he plays MLB but is a quality NFL LB. or maybe it's just both being white. Racist IMO

Well, you know Nate is my guy...so I hope he gets a chance to show what he can do in a real game.

I expect Worley will start, due to his prior experience. Just hope folks don't rule out Nate. I hear a lot about the true freshmen from posters on here, but I don't know that much about them.

Looking forward to see what happens. If Nate gets to start at some point I'd love to come up there and watch him play.

Here is hoping both our teams have a healthy year.

Helm went up more than a few spots, something like 50 or so I think. And Hurd gained his 5th star. Not every UT player falls in the rankings. I think the only reason Bates fell a few is because some people moved up quite a bit similar to Helm.

Arbitrary? I don't know that I would say that. Subjective? Without a doubt. I did a side by side comparison of player rankings between Rivals and 247 and it's pretty eye opening the vast disparities in rankings of individual players. The services occasionally don't even agree on what position a player projects for. I guess it's all part of the entertainment. The gem of it all is that people actually pay them money to do this for a living. I personally think it's a damn good gig and I ain't gonna lie, I'm envious.

Examples:

Helm #1 TE rivals, #13 TE 247
Gaulden #25 S rivals, #43 S 247
Raulerson #51 OT rivals, #93 OT 247
Wharton #13 ATH rivals, #81 ATH 247
Creamer #26 ATH rivals, #72 ATH 247
Henderson #17 WDE rivals, #11 WDE 247
McDowell #24 S rivals, #12 S 247

It's all subjective. I won't say that it's dishonest but it's definitely not the final word. That rests with the coaches and their evaluations. For that reason I think it's informative to look at offer lists as well as awards, competition, etc. and form your own opinions. If the services are manipulating the rankings because of financial incentives that would be dishonest and given the personal conduct standards they and the rest of the media set for athletes I would be shocked, shocked I tell you, to find out these services were cheating.
