Thought he played there some his freshman year as well. I think it was intended for him to end up in the middle tho.

i think that´s a good decision. I thought the this position fits much better to his abilities on that level of football.

this will help him to become a great player !

mamba the way he's been earning praise from coaching staff ever since he stepped foot on campus, he's already on his way to becoming great. I think he'll have a very good season this year which is fairly amazing accomplishment for any true freshman! By his sophomore or junior year - look out world! That said, I think he'll make some noise even this year. :)

i hope the only noise will be an american/german kid running down the track and the inevitable train collision :rock::rock::rock:

No need to fear that. The way that expression is used here it always means the right kind! :)

ETA: Congrats on your nation's World Cup Victory. I'm sure you've had some fantastic parties!

Hopefully mamba will head to Knoxville to watch Jakob play. It will be quite the amazing experience. I don't even know where to begin.. The Vol Walk, the Pride of the Southland band marching in and the pregame show, the team running thru the "T", etc......

AJ Johnson played OLB his freshman year. Herman lathers was the starting middle backer. AJ was moved to the middle the next season because of th swith to the 3-4 defense.

AJ may have been slated to play mlb all along then was good enough to play OLB as a young gun while an experienced mlb played. Does that really make him a converted player?

Jrm at safety maybe. Jakob was switched to DE pretty darn quickly wasn't he?
