Under Armour Week: Stock Up, Stock Down

WR Isaiah McKenzie, Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage
McKenzie is small there is no doubt about that but he is also explosive and dynamic and being ranked outside the nation's top 50 wide receivers seems too low. There are 50 wide receivers ranked four stars or more, so for McKenzie to make a big jump, he'll have to get that fourth star. He appears to have earned it.

However, he had most of the attention from defenses and still put up all those stats.

That's 100% true but if you look at the SEC's statistical leaders, who do you find at the top? That's right, two Vandy players. When the whole offense tends to run through you, you're going to put up big numbers regardless of the extra attention.

Under Armour Week: Stock Up, Stock Down

4*. Now I want. But I tell you what. We need to be in on some of these BIG DOGS that are out in the yard. There is no reason that WE at TENNESSEE should not be getting players like:

1. D. Hand
2. J. Peppers 6-1/210 DB
3. L. Fournette 6-1/225 RB
4. Q. Blanding 6-2/206 DB
5. M. Humphrey 6-0/168 DB
6. A. Jackson 5-10/172 ATH
7. C. Robinson 6-6/320 OL
8. Andrew Brown 6-3/298 DT
9. Joe Mixon 6-2/207 RB
10. D. Prince 6-5/292 OL

If we are ever gonna RISE TO THE TOP, you have to have the cream of the crop. And if you can't get the cream, you are at the bottom, anchoring down. We can't let Candy keep getting the studs and we get the duds. It's time for us to take what we want, and what we want are PLAYERS WHO WANT TO WEAR THE ORANGE AND WHITE, as long as they are 5 stars. Y'all know what I'm talking about or not? Sometimes, it's like I'm playing cards with my brother's kids or somethin'.

Gotta get studs like Q. Blanding and M. Humphrey. If not, it's only gonna get worst before it gets better, and that's gonna make it a long time before we can get better, and finally get best like we deserve!

Go big dang ORANGE! :pepper:

We have a thread on this, and almost everyone in it wants the OP banned. I agree with you, but VN is still full of idiots.

Pretty sure he was being sarcastic, playing off the other thread that you mention (at least I hope) And if you agree with what the OP of the other thread said then you may not want to throw stones calling people idiots if you live in a glass house...

We have a lot of top 30 recruits already, and 3 five stars with 4 others that should be. We have elite talent coming in now.

I also admit I suck with internet sarcasm.

Keys to detecting sarcasm in my post:, all hallmarks of typical posts that float into recruiting forum this time of year.

1. All CAPS for random words in post
2. Obvious Direct copy and paste of Rivals top 10.
3. Only using last name of players, because I didn't take time to actual read about those players, just their star ratings.
4. Inspirational, yet incoherent line near the closing.
5. Close with "go big orange"... Just in case anyone questions my allegiances

I'd say the better key would be how to tell it isn't sarcasm with your posts, haha.

You forgot point number 6. Bumps from the 2010 and before recruiting classes... I have fallen for that more than once. Yes, I was being sarcastic as with Nick, it is 2012 and before.... Oh me, oh my.

This kids picking up some new big time offers and will be bumped to a 4 star on rivals in the next update. Many of the star gazers who posted in this thread will then be complaining that our staff didn't push for McKenzie and land a commitment. The cycle of recruiting.

Ron, it's been said if the kid gets his grades in order that he would def be going to ND. That still the case here?
