'14 GA ATH Myles Autry

I think he paved the way for Peyton to play because Helton didn't want to get hurt worse playing football and ruin his baseball career. He would have played in front of Peyton that year.

He did play in front of Peyton then he got hurt. After that Peyton and Stewart battled it out with Peyton being the man then Helton stuck strictly with baseball knowing thats what was best for his career.

FYI:

Myles is also one of the top ranked kids in 2014 for basketball as well as a guard...the boy is just an ATHLETE!!

he'll figure out that he'll have to choose when the time comes.

Anyone know the last player to be good at and play both sports in college? Seems like it used to happen more than it does now.

Ronald Curry is the last high performer I remember...starting PG and QB at UNC..ended up as a wide receiver in Oakland...the specialty football clinics and traveling baseball teams demand dedicated commitment nowadays or you're hopelessly behind your competition...it's a shame IMO

Russell Wilson played Baseball and Football at NCSU and is in the NFL now. Also was in the minors for the Rockies before transferring to Wisconsin.

Bump.

Rivals150 kid showing a lot of love to UT on twitter tonight. Says this as well..

@KingCinco_: Okay My Birthday Is On Sunday!! About To Turn Up This Weekend With My Boys In Knoxville, Tennessee!! #Volnation #VOLS #RockyTop

Looking like we're going to get a commitment from Autry this weekend.

Would be incredible. Have to see it to believe it, he's a huge OSU fan and Meyer is all over him. If Butch lands Autry, this early, it would be a really big deal, IMO.

Please let this happen

A) kid is a player
B) would drive urb and the bucks crazy
C) surely would help with Zo. Need.want.

Kingston, why you think we get a commit from him? I haven't seen anything that would suggest he would decide on anyone, much less us, this early.

I'm guessing he is drawing than conclusion from Ainges recent comments and the tweets between Ainge and Autry.

I saw those but I don't tweet and didn't see a significance. Paraphrase please? Also, not trying to be negavol but an exchanged tweet between two people is the last thing I would base a commit off of unless it said "did you commit to ut" and "yes" as the answer.

Because Carter's parents are huge UT fans.

He was just quoted recently saying his parents really like UGA right now. The other note I found interesting he said he grew up a Miami fan. That he started following them when he lived in Memphis and has a great relationship with their staff. Miami may end a factor as well.

I have to agree with TW. This talk about Carter's parents leaning UT seems a bit overblown. I'm sure they like UT and call themselves fans, but I think VN is taking it a bit far with how much effect it's going to have.
