'14 GA ATH Myles Autry

Living so close to ATL I know. People in the ATL don't care about the "home" team. The Falcons and the Braves get decent attendance in the playoffs and that's it, the Hawks games are empty. Also ATL kids will grow up fans of random college teams. Very few are UGA fans. It almost seems the kids not from the ATL area are UGA fans though.

We should have a legitimate shot at all these Norcross kids.

Probably not the place for this discussion, but I disagree about Atlanta fans. The Falcons are 11th overall in attendance in front a number of cities that are larger or comparable in size. The Braves are league average in attendance. And both those are despite of terrible traffic, low population density, poor public transportation, and years of disappointment.

There are also tons of UGA fans. Atlanta just happens to be the largest city in the southeast so lots of people are transplants.

ummm..okay... i need to call his mom then. I haven't talked to her this week. I was kinda wondering why he was crutchin', and I only logged in to my twitter for a hot second this morning.

MzTerry... Please talk to her more often! :) :hi:

Nice! Autry and Hurd in this weekend! Love it! We are bringing in the recruits!! Thanks Freak, good update!

Just saw on twitter, something from this morning where he said he has decided that he will be playing both Football and Basketball in college. Wonder if that helps or hurts us.

PG? CCM could always use a wak-on PG. A little on the smallish side, but nothing to lose on football scholarship.

FYI:

Myles is also one of the top ranked kids in 2014 for basketball as well as a guard...the boy is just an ATHLETE!!

he'll figure out that he'll have to choose when the time comes.

It's prob very hard to play 2 d1 sports. Can't imagine the workouts would even work on the same concepts like speed, stamina, strength, etc... Think he would go football or basketball?

How many times has he been on campus, if any? The hype surrounding UT right now will do some good with him, hopefully.

We had a starting QB that also started on the baseball team and is going to be in the baseball HOF when all is said and done. His name?

Colorado Rockies first baseman: Todd Helton

Though baseball and football season do not interact nearly as much as bball and football.

You are correct in that aspect, although spring workouts, practices, etc. in football is during the beginning of baseball season. For instance this years first football practice was Saturday while baseball season started before that.

However, the post I was commenting on didn't say anything about interacting with each other. It just made reference to 2 d1 sports, it never said anything about interacting with each other.

Charlie Ward played football and basketball at FSU. He won the Heisman in football, and played basketball professionally for quite a few years. It can be done, but it takes a rare athelete, and hopefully Autry is that rare athelete, because we need help for both sports.

I think he paved the way for Peyton to play because Helton didn't want to get hurt worse playing football and ruin his baseball career. He would have played in front of Peyton that year.
