'14 GA OL Orlando Brown (Signed with Oklahoma)

This kid kinda reminds me of Auburns Greg Robinson. Big dude but more of a road grader than a pass protector.

There was some chatter the other day about a guy being cut closer to NSD and sent the JuCo route and that he wouldn't like it. There was some discussion that it might be Brown.

Would we still bring him in on his OV if we were planning on sending him to JuCo?

if he doesn't have the grades/scores to be admitted then yes...JMO

I don't think Butch and staff are willing to have any spots in this class taken up by someone who can't enroll

That's not what he asked. He asked if we would bring a questionable qualifier on a visit. I don't know if the visits carry over so it might be a use or lose situation. Also I could be VERY wrong about this, but I thought you had to have a qualified ACT score to take an official visit. That might be a sign that OB at least has that taken care of.

Grades wouldn't stop him from OVing.

In fact him OVing can only help assure a kid remains a vol after going juco

You have to have taken the ACT to visit, but score doesn't matter.

Can we stop speculating on his grades and if we cut him or not? There is absolutely no smoke here, and this guy has been a VFL. Let's wait until there is smoke before doing this to the kid.

There have been reports of grade issues.
Isn't that smoke??

Too much logic and reasoning in this...what's your deal?

There are "reports" on everyone and everything here. So using this logic, I guess you can say the entire Vol Nation is covered in smoke.

It's been discussed plenty here. The reports are from VQ. I am sure they are in this thread

Here is the Hubbs quote everyone is referencing from 1/6: "Brown looked better than I thought he would look. He needs to keep working on his weight and make sure his classroom in taken care of. His work last night was better than what film I saw on him earlier this fall."

So, no, there aren't reports. I'm trying to RRR, so I will stop there. Please link me to reports of him having grade issues. Just because "it's been discussed here" doesn't mean it has any credibility to any extent.

I believe there are more reports than just that but if that's it I agree with you that isn't much smoke

If you read back to September (which you could if you wanted), you'd see that Hubbs quote is the only one. I say this with kindness in my heart - this is why you rub me the wrong way. You have made up things about this kid and don't even know up from down on it.

That was the only report in the last few months in regards to classroom work or grades. Nothing has officially been said about it. It must all be overblown.
