Good call. Probably gonna irk some people with this comment, but I would still like to get a "true" pg in here.(distributor and defender)((Lyle would be awesome cause he can score too)) No knock against Mitchell, like I said I think he is a nice player. Watchin his video, seems like McRae this year before we landed Barton. He can do it, but is it really how you want to utilize him?

Well he's actually played PG, unlike McRae, it's what he's listed as by most services. He happens to be a PG that can score though, which isn't always a bad thing. His EYBL stats per 30mpg would be 20ppg 4apg 2topg....so. 2:1 a:to which is ideal for a PG, 40+% from deep and 75% or better from the line. He's a very good defender as well, and pretty quick.

I get the type you're referring to, the 8ppg 8apg type of guy, but I think it's become pretty evident CCM just doesn't like that kind of PG. He appears to want a guy with toughness, a guy who takes pride in defending, and can hit the outside shot.

good to know

I still have thoughts that DT will be a pleasant suprise this year. I think he will give us solid minutes as a backup. If he does that would be a good safety net in case we do miss on Lyle.

I get what your referring to also, but even true point guards at the high school level will score a lot of points, part of being so talented.

I would love to pick this kid up. That way if we miss on Lyle we still make it out with a very good pg.

Lyle has stated that position will not matter. Get Mitchell on the board and build even MORE momentum for 2014. Mitchell isn't Landry. He's very talented and a SEC player.

Loving the avi Cal
Love the kid. and his dad.
Watched a couple hours of game tape on him. (12-13)
More you watch him the happier you get.
Nonstop motor.
Think his offense will catch up to his defensive game this season. look out!
Well, he did have a 47 pt game this season.

From reading what his coaches have said, he's improved every year, so you may very well be on to something. I expect his game to continue to improve.

His offense won't be that important anyways.

His defensive energy, rebounding effort, and athleticism is going to be something we haven't seen at UT in a LOOOONNNGGG time.

I don't care if we get Looney AND Lyle, Cofer is already my favorite UT player for 2014.

Mitchell is saying KSU is one of his favorites, apparently his best friend is being recruited for football there and they have talked about going to the same school since they were in 5th grade.

I'm a big time Purdue guy, with that being said no way Zo loses a recruit to Weber

Saw where he attended Alabama's camp last weekend. They are our biggest competitor right now. IMO Anybody saw any tweets from him or heard anything about where he is leaning? He is a BIG get to me.

I don't think he's leaning to Bama, but that's jmo. He visited bans sure, but in the last couple weeks he's also visited KSU, Georgia, UAB, Ga Tech and a couple others I believe and is scheduled to visit a few more. One of his best friends is being recruited by KSU for football and they'd like to go to school together fwiw.

At this point I feel like he's pretty open.
