'14 GA RB Treyvon Paulk (UT Signee 2/5/14)

Don't worry guys. I left Butch my number. He knows all he has to do is call and I'll come run the rock for him. We're set.

I'm with Leb, too many people are making a big deal out of this. We have two five star running backs guys and a couple other options to back them up, granted they aren't the best. I would venture to say most teams in the country would take Alvin and Jalen as their top two and a couple mediocre guys behind them in a heartbeat! The injury thing is kinda just finding something to complain about. I mean you can't have starters all the way through your 3 deep. It just doesn't work that way. People want to play, if they're good enough to start they go where they can start.

I mean what if Dobbs goes down? What if our top 3 linemen go down? What if we lost Sutton and Mosley? Injuries aren't ideal and usually they DO derail seasons, the exception being Ohio State this year. Let's just be happy with the talent we DO have and hope the injuries keep to a minimum.

The discussion is relative to Paulk. Not everything is going to be news. If everything was news, 98% of the people on this forum would never post.

This thread took a **** two or three pages ago, however, is there any real substance to his reinstatement or are we just in wishful thinking mode at this point? If he was never charged or he has been cleared, I am hoping he will be back on the team soon. After all, it's not like he's facing two felony counts *cough* Bama *cough*....

I guess I just don't see w reason to assume one or both get injured and can't go. Do I think Hurd alone could carry it 30 times a game. Yeah. Could Kamara if need be? Probably. Could Dobbs keep it 10-12 times instead of 5 if needed? Sure. Could Kelly step in and carry it 8 times a game by mid season? Sure.

Do I think Butch takes 2 backs in 2016? Yeah.

I think this should be you new schtick. Ask yourself questions and then answer them. Then you could disagree with yourself in the next post.

Now, on the RB situation, Butch mentioned that we are thin at RB and he would look to expand the roster further through transfers during his PC yesterday. I would fully anticipate to see another RB added by summer session at the latest.

Because if we assume running back A, B and C are all going to get injured then you are really trying too hard to have a argument. Yes we are a little thin at RB, but we are better off then we were last year that much we can all agree on.

That isn't assuming anything...it's presenting a possible scenario. You never know at the RB position. Could we go through an entire season without a RB missing time with an injury? Sure but that's highly unlikely. The reality is, RBs get injured frequently this day and age. It isn't crazy to think 2-3 could miss time injured. "Getting by" with plugging an emergency RB is far from ideal. And we aren't better off than last year...not yet at least. We have one guy with SEC experience. At least last year we had two. Once guys get game experience the situation will improve, but the RB position is scary thin for now IMO.

I have totally forgotten who the thread is about. Saw the current bumps and thought there might be some news.

I should've used the blue font. I 'forgot' whose thread it was because of the useless yammering back and forth.. Another thread turned into the LVZ...

Took the sjt online course IMO. :)

Using Pig in the backfield like how the Packers use Cobb would be a creative way to get one of our best playmakers the ball, and I personally would love to see it. Pig has gotten more and more dangerous with the ball in his hands each year.

Question I have about the Paulk situation. From what had been said recently I thought people were saying the victim recently decided to not press charges and that is why he should be allowed back. Looking at the news stories when it happened in Sept, the victim said in the police report she was not going to press charges or file for an OOP. It did state she had visable injuries. It was known she wasn't pressing charges before he was dismissed.

So what's changed? Is it just time?
