Just dont get it why these kids are so head over hills about ohio sux. They play in a weak as hell confrence. In a state thats cold as u know what 6 months out of the year.Plus they are coached by a coach who is a habitual liar. Not to mention getting the crap kicked out of them 90% of the time they face a sec team.Im not focusing on any schools specifically but theres six I have been talking to the most, he explained.
Florida State,*Tennessee,*Vanderbilt,*Ohio State,*Clemson, andArkansas*are the schools I stay in contact more than others. I have probably spoken to each four or five times in the past month.
For Clemson, Tennessee, and Florida State it is the same, McDowell explained. They each have 2 coaches recruiting me where one was the lead recruiter for me at another school. Ohio State was the first school to send their head coach down to see me, and Vanderbilt was the second. They showed me that I was a priority so Im going to make them a priority.
Ill be visiting Vanderbilt on June 2, Florida State on June 15, Tennessee on June 22, and Ohio State on June 28, McDowell noted. Im just trying to build my relationship with each of those staffs. The game plan is the same for all the schools I visit and thats to get to know all the coaches, see what they are all about, and let my mom and brother check it out to see what they think too.
I want to announce my commitment at the end of the summer, he mentioned. I want to take all these unofficial visits to learn more about each school and to see the fit. Ill then put out a list of top list of schools afterwards. After I have three or four schools to choose from, Ill go from there and make a decision.

Had they not been on probation, they would have played in the national title game having gone 12-0. Of course they would have lost to bama as they do to every SEC team. Just playing for titles is enough for most kids. A lot of people don't mind the cold. I can understand why osu is attractive to some recruits. With that said, I hope we can get every recruit we want/need to get us back to playing for championships.
I cant believe these kids parents wouldnt see straight thru Urban cryer. He is one of the biggest straight up fos coaches I have ever heard off.Telling kids he has dreams about them and quiting at uf cause he knew his next yrs team waz gonna get smashed.Hes a joke and its a shame these kids cant see thru him.Your right. I had forgot about bama losing to A&M and being ranked behind ND. In that case, osu could have very well have beat ND and been national champion. As I said, I can see why some kids would buy what UM is selling.

What an interesting story from someone who has obviously been in the same shoes as McDowell at one point, you should spread the story of this epiphany across AmericaI cant believe these kids parents wouldnt see straight thru Urban cryer. He is one of the biggest straight up fos coaches I have ever heard off.Telling kids he has dreams about them and quiting at uf cause he knew his next yrs team waz gonna get smashed.Hes a joke and its a shame these kids cant see thru him.
I dont have any favorites right now, but I think the ones that kind of stick out a little bit more right now are Tennessee and Florida State right now, at the moment,
Tennessee, theyre a new program right now, but I feel like, if they keep getting the guys that they keep needing filling those spots, Tennessee will be a dangerous team to watch this upcoming year.
He said hes looking forward to returning to Tennessee.
At one point, Tennessee was (the leader) and had a big lead, and then I started taking other visits, so that kind of died down a little bit, McDowell said. Im just going to wait to get back up and see everything again and take my brother up to Tennessee so he can see it, because he hasnt been. Its just been me and my mom.
Once my brother gets up there to see it, then Ill probably start narrowing down things. Some of these last couple of visits Im taking, my brothers going to be going, so Im going to be getting his feel for the schools.

He said he stays in touch with Thigpen and Jancek a lot. He is going to cut down his list after July 4th, and he wants to commit on August 1st or 2nd.
Sounds like we are still in great position, and the main reason he didn't commit was because he was given the chance to see other schools.
