McDowell also said that his friend, Nick Ruffin, a Barn commit, is recruiting him. He had this to say,

I disagree. If we are the only school allowing him to play baseball, I think we lead.

I'm guessing you're basing that on the quote about his friend's pitch on Auburn. He's got friends recruiting him to UT too, they just didn't ask him about it.

I personally know Randolph and I can tell you he will not leave early... He will get his degree just like his brother that just graduated from UT. Trust me on this
