According to UT Sports Reggie played DT in college and moved to DE after he went pro

Dobbs and his parents grilled CBJ for three hours. Butch said it was his most extensive in-home he ever had. Hopefully he can do the same here (as you said). But most families aren't as in depth. Nothing would surprise me with this staff.

CBJ does get the credit but I think Dobbs was seriously looking to stay closer to home and his mother (being disabled) who would have a hard time traveling all the way to asu to see him play. If it was not UT, IMO he would have flipped to clem$on.

And I can ride with that. It's just that as a Bears fan I tend to be an extreme homer at times. But Atkins bio is pretty impressive.

Atkins was from my hometown. My granddad knew him, but I wonder if he'd be as dominant in today's game as he was back then. Everyone's gotten bigger faster and stronger. A defensive tackle back then could probably play linebacker now as far as size/height goes.

Although he was a freak of nature at 6'8" and 275. He's probably one of the few that could still wreck things.

Story was he was strong as hell too..like bull strong. Killed all his pets accidentally as a kid like George from of mice and men. Only 2 time 1st team all American as well

He was a freak athlete that could high jump 7 feet. If he had todays training methods and "supplements" he would be a monster today too.

dayum. excellent argument! and true too.

funny how schools who spent extra money on big time weight facilities and nutrition programs always had a bunch of kids with d-1 offers. the kids werent any more talented than us, they just had been in a big time program that had huge emphasis on the right things. they went from average to above average, and got their schools paid for.
