Im going to make the decision that I feel like benefits myself and my family, that's all worried about. This will be fun! ;)

Hmmm, this quote on the heels of Springbokvol saying earlier in the day once again that this will be the best class that has ever been assembled at UT. Any chance CG called the coaches? Also, remember the poster on here that said something about a neighbor who knows his dad, and that they have been very pro-UT since his visit. Things are getting very interesting here.

Yeah Rex set me straight on that. Remember reading " only 2 time first team all American " about Atkins but the article I recalled must have been talking solely about defensive players I guess.

Bob Suffridge played both ways (offense and defense) when he played. College football used the one-platoon system during those years. He was more noted for his defensive abilities. I might be wrong but I think that when the great Doug Atkins played the two-platoon system was being used and he just played defense.

IMO this class top to bottom is already one of best ever assembled. Pull Garrett and Malone it may be THE best

I completely agree. This class already addresses so many needs. All that is really left is getting 1-2 JUCO DTs that can start day one. My point is that SBV already made that statement just a few days ago about this possibly going down as the best class ever. Now, he says it again but that it will be the best class ever. A few hours later, CG tweets the couple of quotes above. I'm probably over-analyzing as we all like to do here, but maybe not.

Four-star linebacker Clifton Garrett has scheduled his fourth and final official visit, and it will take place this upcoming weekend to LSU. The Plainfield (Ill.) South prospect previously made official visits to the other schools in his final four -- Florida, Tennessee and Ole Miss. LSU is considered the team to beat, however, and this weekend's trip could seal the deal for the Tigers. A final decision, however, is not expected to be announced until early January.

He was on the 39 team that was unbeaten and unscored on.I remember my granddad laughing and saying no 2 men could block him.

You never know, just because hi last visit is lsu doesn't mean that will be better than his visit here or be fresh on his mind making him choose lsu. He could go and the things that stand out might be things he likes better about UT. The last OV doesn't mean lsu lock. IMO. I'm looking at this as class half full

That doesn't seem like a "however" sentence to me.

I believe I remember a story about Doug Atkins catching a TD pass vs. Ga. Tech during a 0-0 deadlock to win the game. That was back in the day when the forward pass was not a big part of the offense and Tech was in the SEC.

Yeah I'm aware, it was the fact that suffridge made AA at guard rather than as a defensive player, hence Atkins status as our most noted defender
