Garrett would make this class THE best class we have ever had without any doubts. Would take him over Malone or Adoree every day of the week. Will be an All-American wherever he goes.

Pretty impressive when you think about it. Atkins and White, #91 and 92...

-both born in TN and played for UT.
-considered two of the greatest to ever play the game.
-each recognized as one of the very best at the DE position in the NFL.
-both in the College and Pro HOF.
-Atkins played for two of the greatest to Coach: Neyland and Halas.

I can only imagine what it would be like to have them today as bookends on the DL - an absolute terror for QBs.

Not sure I would take anyone over Adoree right now that is on our board. Lockdown corners are hard to come by.

It's close don't get me wrong. I just think Garrett can be one of the all-time greats here. Put him at Middle LB and you don't have to worry about the run game up the middle.

Speaking of Halas....my son ask me what the GSH stood for on the Bears sleeves of their jerseys. I pulled up his bio and showed him. He's got the craziest bio I've ever seen. Player, owner, and coach of pro franchises all at the same time...lol, his bio is sick.

Put him at MLB for '14, with Cherry coming in '15.....talk about some serious depth. That's not even a dropoff.

I would love to get this guy but I'm not going to be too bummed it we don't assuming Bryant makes it in. Don't get me wrong I think he's a great player but I think Bryant is going to be a very good player as well.

And to add to the discussion above, if I had to chose just one I would take Jackson because of what we already have at LB in this class (as well as cherry next year although I know that a long ways off). We would have two young studs at CB, guys who you can trust on an island while you blitz the QB like crazy. I think that could be the best CB combo we have had in a LONG time.

Story was he was strong as hell too..like bull strong. Killed all his pets accidentally as a kid like George from of mice and men. Only 2 time 1st team all American as well

I believe Suffridge 1938-1940 was a 3 time all American at guard

Nah the change of plans OBVIOUSLY means he's going to be a Vol. He was leaning towards LSU but now he's leaning towards the Vols and had changed his plans so he can jump on board the big orange train while there's still room.

Yeah Rex set me straight on that. Remember reading " only 2 time first team all American " about Atkins but the article I recalled must have been talking solely about defensive players I guess.
