'14 JUCO DT Davonte Lambert (Auburn Commit 12/18/13)

Also said a final decision would be Wednesday.

That wasn't actually a quote from Lambert. In context of the question/answer format between recruit and reporter, I don't give much weight to that as far as determining whether he is sticking with his commitment. Wednesday is JUCO signing day IIRC, so that's ultimately decision day for a lot of guys.

lambert told govols247 on sunday night via text message that he’s planning to make his decision known during a signing ceremony at 3 p.m. Est wednesday in his hometown of keysville, ga.

The 6-foot-3, 278-pound lambert said he’s “staying quiet until wednesday” — the first day of the early junior-college signing period — about his upcoming decision, but he admitted that his mind has “been made up” on which school he will be choosing.

Now, he said, he’s “going to discuss with my family about it” before signing with one of the teams wednesday.

If Matt Watson is on this board, I just want you to know you can go **** yourself.

Don't tweet stupid things to recruits. As I said in my tweet to you; never tweet a recruit again, you're making us all look bad.

This. ****ing this. Between this guy and Jason Sells, I'm steaming after reading the bull**** they are saying to Lambert.

I thought my post was fairly clear. I dont see what was so confusing about it.

Auburn's coaches feel that their pitch has legitimately peaked his interest. Auburn feels fairly good because the kid isn't saying "Sorry, no thanks". He is hard to read because he's been telling several schools favorable things during his recruitment, which is why neither side here has a solid idea what this kid is going to do on Wednesday. The current "silence" is obviously implied to be bad for Tennessee: you guys had the last visit and he is already committed to you, it seems strange that he hasn't verbally finalized his commitment since the in-home meeting if he truly did plan on sticking with you guys. Obviously the "silence" could turn out to mean jack-****; but in the world of recruiting it usually isn't great news (looking at it from the UT angle).

O.K. I understand now! You are an AU "INSIDER" and you have direct contact with several of the AU coaches.
I should have figured that out earlier. Just spill your guts and tell us everything you know Mr. AU Insider.

:lolabove: 100s of people will probably blame him when Lambert signs with AU.

Don't like the ceremony thing. Usually doesn't work out well for the team that the kid was already committed to.

Obviously the class is still amazing without this kid, but he makes a bigger difference to our success next year than any other commit IMO. Adding a stud starting DL could easily mean the difference of a win, and with our schedule that could be the difference between going to a bowl or not.

I have seen no mention of a ceremony
