'14 Juco DT Jarran Reed

They hired a new AD who may want to bring in his own guy. Still, hard to believe they'd fire a guy who took the to the conference championship.[/QUOTE

They don't have a championship game anymore. He will NOT be AD but will make a position for him. Heard something like AD over football who will be under main AD.

The winner of the game today against Baylor was the big 12 champion, essentially a conference championship game was his point

No not really are you? If he actually does go I will be shocked. But unlike you I don't believe every Internet rumor. So got any proof?

Don't believe every internet rumor either. But unlike you I don't sit there like an oblivious ogre and laugh at something that seems to be more than just an internet rumor. I guess you can collect your proof if Saban has a press conference with a longhorn emblem in the backdrop.

Err..I mean his wife named their dog Austin.

Sure man whatever makes you feel better. If Saban goes to Texas I will be shocked and then move on. You will probably log on to VN to mock me and brag about how right you were. It's just an Internet rumor until Saban announces his departure so yes you are content in believing an Internet rumor. I on the other hand do not believe rumors until they are disproven.

So believe whatever you want and I will believe what I want. Oh yeah his wife named their dig Austin so that automatically means he is going to Texas :eek:lol:. So if she named the cat Knox then that means he is coming to Tennessee right?

My info is not off of an internet rumor. They want him and will do everything they can to get him. However, I think they will fail and he will stay at Bama.

But, Brown is gone as HC regardless of Saben.

Na, not that big of a deal to me. I may spend another 20 seconds to type a snarky comment in reference to your assessment but not much more than that. I do like how you have repositioned yourself though from borderline cocky poster who chimed in when I was screwing with a Bama fan to the above it all poster who is indifferent.

And if it's on the radio, newspapers, TV sports shows, etc. does that still make it 'just an internet rumor'? Truth is I couldn't care less what Saban does. And on top of that if you are going to attempt to look clever on a message board, try to learn when someone is jerking your chain.

is a dig anything like a dog or is it a cross between two animals.:)

Well I am admittedly sarcasm challenged and have a difficult time realizing when someone is just screwing around. My bad. No disrespect intended. I want him to stay at Alabama so when we get better, I want us to beat him. If he goes to Texas we will never get to play him again unless its in a bowl game.

That's cool man. That was my main reason for posting it was to annoy the Bama fan in a thread. I would like to see us get him as well, but 10 mil is a lot of money if those reports are right. I would think his age alone would keep him in Tuscaloosa. But with the money, him calling out the fans for leaving early, and how they acted after the Auburn game he may be ready for a change. Not to mention, recruiting for Texas requires way less travel. I'm like you, I'll believe it when I see it, but with his past history of bolting I wouldn't be shocked either.

I think a tell tale sign might be how he performs in their bowl game. If it seems that they are playing flat or it looks like he is not taking it seriously then that might mean he is ready to leave. I could be wrong though. You would think he wouldn't leave a place where he has it made but you made some good points. The history of him leaving and money may be enough. There is a small part of me that wants to see him out of the SEC.

Especially when you have 'fans' shooting other 'fans' because they weren't upset enough by a loss. I know we have our crazies, but even in the 90s and the early 2000s when we were winning a lot of games, I don't remember anything like that.

Wait...what?

"Also, don't be surprised if Tennessee doesn't try and make a final run at defensive lineman Jarran Reed who committed last week to Alabama. It would be a longshot at best for the Vols and will be interesting to see if they can get to see him this week."

Get em Butch.

Anything possible in recruiting but Reed currently is planning on taking his OV to UA Friday through Sunday. Monday starts the dead period. He is expected to sign his NLI on Tuesday and his team mate Pettway is expected to pick UA as well and sign on the same day.

But Butch has 5 days and he can recruit.

Move along Butch. Put your time into holding onto who we currently have committed.

If Saban leaves, great. I wouldn't mind one bit.

If he stays, cool. Maybe we can beat him and I get to troll a bunch of Bama fans at work.
