Not worried. The lack of depth is scary, but as long as we don't have any injuries, I think we'll be ok with Kerbyson and Sanders at tackle next year.

Expected that really. The interview he gave after getting the AU offer was very telling. I think we miss on the Juco OT recruits this year.

This isn't good. Mahoney will have to coach like he's never coached before. Everything will change by December though.

How about Mahoney coaches like he always has and gets 2-star talent into the NFL?

Lol. The negativity runs deep around here.

Just because someone thinks we don't land every recruit we offer does not make them negative. There is a lot to be positive about. (5) commitments this week is impressive. The Blair news is tough to try and twist into a positive. JMO

Posey will be a good one as well.

Don't get your hopes up about Posey. Hubbs said he has a lot of work to do.

Other than the starters, Crowder and Kerbyson are basically the only ones receiving high praise.

That's why getting Blair is very important. And who knows, Jackson may decide to stay another year.

Last I heard, Bullard may win the other starting guard job. I think M. Jackson stays for his senior year regardless.

Hubbs is an Offensive Line coach too? Posey will be good. Alot of our other Linemen would be getting PT if they were at other schools. we just have a stud OL full of 4 NFL ready Linemen ahead of them with most of them being a year older.

No I believe he's the Head Editor of VQ... May be wrong though. He's also been around the program for 10+ years, so yeah I'm going to take his word over most people. He personally talks to the coaches and gets to see a great deal of the practices.

what do expect the coaches to say about the backup OL though? of course they say they have a ways to go. they continuously challenge the kids. those other lineman will be alright. exactly, being a writer and a coach is two different things. the coaches tell them things yes, but not everything.

I'm alright with that. If he works hard, Mahoney will help him get a lot better. After season bowl practice would help him substantially.

Mahoney said Posey has a long way to go in one of the spring videos. He was complimentary of Kerbyson and Crowder.

What makes you think our other lineman would be getting PT at other schools? Other than the few reps I saw in the spring vids, I have no idea how good our back-ups are.

I just look at it like watching a movie or a TV show. I don't make an assumption about how something is going to end when I'm halfway through a movie or a a show. I wait for it to play out and enjoy the ride. There are no definitives in recruiting until the LOIs are faxed in. It's just amusing to me that a couple of weeks ago he was 'All Vol' and now he goes on an OV and doesn't commit and based on him naming a new leader 'he gone'.

I know. I was being sarcastic.

I thought your statements were reasonable. Hopefully Mahoney will help him pick it up in the next 12 months but at this point it sounds like he needs work.

Oh my bad man. Yeah I think Sanders and Wiesman will move up quickly on the depth chart next year.
