Hubbs and Fort would know if he had quit football to focus on academics. The fact that they are saying he will "most likely" not be a part of this class means he is not playing football most likely because of worse things.

Clowney seriously considered forgoing his Senior year to preserve staying healthy and being the top player in the draft. This could be similar at a lesser level. Ive been to several JUCO games. 10-500 fans isn't very motivating.

i wish him nothing but the best and believe he has ability, but not sticking with teams is a bad downfall and something that hurts him big time.

I'm not basing everything off of one year at OU. I'm basing things off how much my buddy at ULM (who got his first TD catch today! whoop whoop!) talked him up. The guy is an absolute stud and would be a Day 1 starter IMO as well.

Then why would he start the season? He would have wasted a year of eligibity for a couple games. No way that's it.

Unless I'm crazy, Clowney is a junior. That's why he thought about sitting out this season. He couldn't go pro after last year.

Turns out he's just lazy and has no cardio. Haha

Amazing how circumstances hinder some people from shining. And then you have players who just can't get out of their own way.

Apparently he is not returning calls to media. Sorta surprised the media hasn't been able to get any info from UT's side of things.

Speculating is different from getting a definitive answer. I'd like for someone to say, "he is no longer a Vol commit," if that is the case.

IMO what they are saying is coming from the coaches. They can't say more unless it comes from the kid. I don't think it's speculation

Probably right since coaches aren't allowed to talk about specific recruits. I'd just prefer closure.

This life ain't always fair or easy, but I can't imagine not being able to get things together academically, athletically, and socially when you've committed to play D1 football. That would hold plenty of motivation to at least do the bare minimum! Passing grades at a juco should be a breeze. For this kid, when he's on the football field it's like the middle school playground, no problem taking care of business there. And for the rest of it, just stay in and play video games, or go rent a Redbox, or do like 90% of all other people do and get addicted to Breaking Bad or some other TV show. Lol

Really hope to hear something soon, and hopefully some big surprise and he tweets out that he just Punk'd the entire VN. Haha :peace2:

Do you think there maybe a medical reason? HIPA Would be the reason that the is no information out there...would explain the absence of any information...

IMO, no. I've never seen a player disappear from a college roster during the season for medical reasons, and I don't think that's the case with Jackson.

Removing him from the commitment list. It seems that we'll land more high school kids than originally thought.

Jackson seemed like a player but, if it is true that he will no longer be a part of this class, then CBJ, etc., can go get another player--I hope on the DL or OL. Again, if it is true that he will not be a part of this class, holding on to Lauderdale becomes even more critical.
