I would not say elite. CBJ only calls me for my opinion on QBs, RBs, WRs, and LBs. Next class I plan to focus on DE, TE, and Special Teams. Give it time and I will be the go to guy for evaluations and VN opinions with very little to support said opinion. :)

Can't be. LV already posts almost 24 hours a day. There wouldn't have been enough time to post under dual accounts when you consider how much time combine those 2 posted.

Just talked to Coach Thigpen, he said their need was not at Sam Linebacker anymore but at Safety they have to evaluate him playing in space they will bring him down for another official visit after October 15 when he gets a couple of games at Safety under his belt
which I why I said about a month ago that the Prep School coach was moving him to SS, but also Thig said he wanted him to open his recruitment back up just in case it didnt workout with Tenn.

Thanks for the update. Best of luck to Jerome going forward. Kid looks like a player and will do well wherever he decides to play college ball.

This must be good news that Weatherd will make it in. MDO, tell JD to ball out at safety, and if so, then you will still have a use for all of your UT gear. I'm glad to hear that our coaching staff was up front and honest about the roster, instead of keeping him committed and realizing he can't play safety well enough. Then, put him in a crunch late with not a lot of time to open up his recruitment and take visits.

I had high hopes for J.D. He was willing to make the commitment to play for the Vols and went to the nth degree to do so. Maybe things will work out for him to still do so, but in the end, many of us wish him the very best in whatever he decides to do. The prep school route may end up being the best thing he could have done when all is said and done.

I hope everything works out in the best interest for JD...you have been nothing but class acts the day you have arrived... even if he doesn't enroll at UT,
he now has options to go to a school that will have the best situation for him...kinda like being a free agent in the NFL...

I'm not sure how I feel about this. MDO has been a class act from the start and I would like to see our staff just honor their commitment. But, on the other hand, if the staff doesn't see him getting much playing time then I guess it is better for Jerome to choose another school where he will get the PT he wants. And in the end, unless you are just a huge lifetime fan of a certain school, isn't playing time what it's really all about? I'm not sure the staff handled it the best way they could have, but at least Thig told them now and didn't wait till the fall or later.

Good luck to Jerome, MDO and the whole family wherever he decides to play, and maybe it will still work out at UT.

Sounds like the kids we brought in at linebacker are legit which is good if our needs changed. Plus I personally think Kelly jr, McDowell and Elliot berry each have the frame and genetics that could grow them into LBs at some point. I would expect one of them to eventually drop down closer to box

He looks more like a Saftey physically in pictures.

Thanks MDO. Jerome looks like he could be a fine safety and like one that no one would want to "meet across the middle". Still hoping he makes it as a Vol and will be all eyes and ears after October 15th.
