He definitely has the innate ability to make the first defender miss...and on the perimeter, that is going to be huge.

Looks like a take. His "body-lean" fakes seem to work every time and he has unbelievable balance and seems to have excellent speed. The only thing I noticed on the film that he might improve on is that it looked like he was holding the ball loosely. He has very good field vision because he found holes that most backs couldn't see.

Wonder what our chances are with hurd already on board. Could be a good 1-2 punch option after lane graduates....

Are they recruiting another RB?

Who?

No. I am not saying they are slowing playing him. According to UNC people they are, but UNC is desparate to repair their relationship with Havelock, also. I think he is a take, its just that USC has a huge need for another de and db. They are being slowed played at de by recruits. USC is only taking at most, 17. That is up from the 12 it was thought they could take earlier.

My friend follows recruiting pretty closely for the Cocks. I messaged him to see what's up here. Will keep you posted

SC is not slow playing this kid at all..he has been priority #1 at RB for them all year

SC is just loaded at RB

2014 SC RB's
Davis Jr (4*) Top back in the SEC per most
Wilds Jr (3*)
Carson RsJr (3*) (might quit football for baseball)
Salley RsSo (3*)
Williams RsFr (4*)
Smith Rs Fr (3*)

Again, I said it was UNC sources who believe Scott is being slow played, and Scott believes it. After three years, maybe USC needs to reinforce they still need if it isn't getting across. It may be negative recruiting by UNC because they want back into Havelock. However, it is 247 and their analysts insiders all work together, and the USC insider probably has heard different things.

UNC can certainly be telling him he doesn't fit in the roster well but USCe clearly can clear up they aren't slow playing him. If scott thinks they are slow playing him then they are doing nothing to show him they would take his commitment at the moment.

It's easy to clear that up for USCe. Tell the kid to commit today and that ends that

I think he has had a change in at least one recruiter from last year, but I don't think that is it. He was due to announce on the 25th of OCT, but delayed it to take visits, starting with the UNC visit a couple of 2 or 3 weeks ago.

Ok, this is what my dude says. He's pretty plugged in to USCe recruiting. Nothing earth shattering but a little extra tidbit at the end.

We want him, and he's been our primary RB target for the entire cycle. I know Tennessee is the biggest competition, but Carolina sources are still confident. We have a pipeline to Havelock, and the trump card is his best friend Pharoh Cooper playing in Columbia.

Good stuff nick.

Not feeling good about this one.

I'm to the point I don't even care. One spot left, and so many great players wanting in the boat. Whoever we get, we get. We have lots of needs, but not enough slots. Take what we can, celebrate, and get ready to roll

Same here. I don't feel like losing a kid will be a punch in the gut at all this year.

Oh Von bell is going to OSU. Ah who cares!!

Never felt we stood much of a chance here. Being 1 of 3 RBs in the class for UT vs being the only RB for the usce class. He's a cock IMO.

Well Played :)

Lol.
I really like this guy's abilities. I hope we can land him. James wouldn't be bad either, and I'm just now checking out the Williams kid from Louisiana. Bigger than the other two, haven't had a chance to see any tape. Scott would be number one as of now, but James isn't far behind, he has tons of potential as well. I just hope we can land a high rated sought after 3rd back to go with the two studs we are bringing in. Which I think both Hurd and Paulk will recover and be reliable in college.

Hubbs said he thinks Scott is unlikely to be a Vol and that's why you see UT upping the ante with guys like Darell Williams and DJ Law.
