Cool that Butch is granting him a release. I know many questioned Dooley for not. I wonder if it had some conference restrictions?

HIs "release" will have guidelines, like he can't play for another SEC team. Or he could evoke Dools and say he can't play anywhere in an 800 mile radius lolol.

I never thought I'd say this when it all came out a few months ago, but we need Paulk back. Hopefully everything will be cleared up and he will be reinstated IF he is innocent.

This is one of my biggest pet peeves on VN. Hearing a rumor and running with it before the facts come to fruition. Pretty much commonpractice around recruiting message boards isn't it? what can ya do

I think CBJ was actually going to try and get Scott a medical this year. I see no way they were going to try and RS Scott next year. Abernathy will be a slot receiver here imo.

Meeting with Coach Jones already happened. He expressed his desire to leave. Coach Jones told him he would grant him a release. Meeting took place with Hendrix and his family. Hendrix was told he would not get a release. His decision is still up in the air.

If this is true I wish Butch would just release them both. If he doesn't want to be here don't let the door hit you on the way out. I hate to lose him but if his heart isn't here he needs to go. I wouldn't even encourage him to stay the spring. Opens up a spot for someone that wants to be a Vol. If he leaves I bet he ends up regretting it. JMO

I was wondering the same thing. The fact that Scott was injured comes to mind, but I do wonder if there is something else

I prefer the Richt method of 'good to go'. Especially when you can recruit well and over guys. The only things I can even guess may be going on is that Hendrix' parents are not fully supporting him wanting to go so Butch is making it tougher. That or he suspects Mizzou was tampering since they made a big push at the end of the last recruiting cycle IIRC.

So a release to Scott who wants to go to NC State and no release to Hendrix to go to Mizzou. Sounds reasonable to not release a player to an SEC school, especially one that we play every year. Hope Hendrix stays.

We still need depth. Hurd/Kamara at 1 and 2, after that we have no one proven. At least with Paulk we get someone who knows the playbook along with a semester of strength and conditioning. I say this knowing we will also likely get another very talented back this class, hopefully Love.
