So you admit then that you made the comment about him not being athletic enough without watching any tape? So I assume I was correct then in that you formed this opinion because of his skin color?
No, I've been critical of many recruits, and many guys we have signed. I try not to voice an opinion on a certain recruit until I've at least watched some film and seen what his coaches have to say. Apparently this isn't something you do, you just google image to see if they're black or white and form your opinion from there.
I didn't base his athleticism on skin color but on the fact that he is ranked around 200 that was enough for me to know he is not a great player. After watching some video it seems his ranking is justified.
I have no idea what he's talking about. What "whiteys" is he referring to?
Ill advised statement that most won't understand unless you lived thru the transition of American sports on all levels.I have no idea what he is talking about either.

Did any of you see the first black player, who played at TN?
Can you name him without looking it up?
Have any ever heard comments like 'fans won't come out if there isn't at least one white on the team.', and seen the long list of duds we recruited to fill the need.
I do apologize for offending and I'll try to let the past be the past in the future.
Just stop what?
Pointing out how outrageous and racist Calban's opinion is?
Wonder what your response would be if some idiot came on here spewing some steriotypical nonsense concerning dark skinned players including using the "N" word?
Interesting. If he picks up an offer from the "Izzone", all the project and mid-major talk needs to stop. Add to that, I trust Brad Stephens opion as well. I think this kid should get a pretty big boost in the rankings next time.

Larry Robinson who later played football for the Cowboys. We would have had Spencer Haywood but he couldn't get in because of grades. Had Haywood played here we would have really given KY a run for their money every year.
Actually the first was Wilbert Cherry. 70-71 I think.
A walk on who played one season on varsity and was cut shortly there after.
Robinson may have played around the same time.
To TN's credit, they were one of the king pins in the early transition of the SEC.
Are you giving your age away like me or a history buff? They came in the same year but Robinson was the only on with a scholarship. Lester McClain was the first FB player and started as a Soph in 68. The first signee was Albert Davis from Alcoa but he couldn't get in school. Nat Worthington at KY was the first AA football player and Perry Wallace at Vandy was the first AA BB player.
And when he gets bumped to 150 that'll be justified?
Also...you based his athleticism on his ranking? That's idiotic. Washpun was a 2*, but was one of the most athletic guys I've ever seen. Just because you're ranked low doesn't mean you aren't athletic, and just because you're ranked highly doesn't mean you are athletic.
200 seems about right? Did you feel that was about right for Makinde London 6 months ago? How about Aaron Craft, did you feel unranked was good for him when he committed?
My point simply being, most people already have an opinion formed of someone off their rankings before even watching their video. Therefore, you googled him real quick saw he wasn't ranked and already have an opinion formed before watching his video. The guy could look like MJ, but you've already formed your opinion. One thing to consider is how old is the film...his recent success is what has him moving up th rankings, and earning bigger offers. So, is it possible he has improved since the video you saw was filmed?
This guy is one of those "does anything to win" type, or so I've heard. I bet he'll surprise you.I'm hoping he will be an outstanding player because I think he will be a Vol and one of our point guards. He is not the player I was hoping for to fill that position but when or if he becomes a Vol he is our man and I hope he becomes a super player for us.
